Morg should have been included in the mage update

She and annie were amoung the first of the "ap support" to venture down the river and into bot lane. Unlike the brands vel koz and luxs, morgana, annie and zyra bring alot of utility aswell as decent damage.

Morganas main problem imo is her Q, the long duration root when played as support. For mid morg it is essential for her q w combo.

This combo is pretty much irrelevent as support, its duration far to long. But nerfing its duration would completely gut mid morg so that is why i personally (many may not) think she needs to be added to the mage rework or a later support rework to define her role.

Tldr

Binding lasts to long.

Cant nerf cause mod morg would gutted

Rework needed

Except it's one of the slowest skillshots in game, maybe narrowing the hitbox, but honestly, Morg is not in a bad place balance wise. Although, people cried about "Illaoi OP" and I never had trouble with her either. She's a great noob stomper, but honestly, if you look at in-game strength, she's not even top tier. Basically, she is a skillshot champion with one of the hardest to land linear skillshots, and the missed binding removes all lane pressure and a lot of her defense. The "QQ binding lasts too long" is not a reason for a rework, if anything, her similarity to a certain other mage with a linear skillshot bind, a ranged aoe, a shield and an aoe ult would be a better basis for a rework, "not having her own identity" All you need to do is look at win rates and realize she is not tilting the balance of the game in any meaningful way. Really morg's most powerful ability is not the bind, but her shield, immunity to all cc is one of the strongest non-ults in game, and the rank 5 full cdr shield has more than 50% uptime.

Yea... This...

if you keep some distance from Morg then it's VERY easy to dodge her Q.. If you get right up on her.. and have no idea if her Q is on cooldown or not... then guess what is about to happen??

It's not that slow for the power it packs, it has the same speed as Lux's Q, our mind plays tricks on us because we think the ball of light must be faster. Janna's tornado for instance is slower. Personally I would narrow the hitbox, shit feels like old Nid's spear sometimes.

I think Morg is an odd case of being ok balance wise yet having a kit that is not cohesive with both her thematic and her role... R, E, passive, even Q fit the fallen/corrupted angel thematic, but her W does not. QER fit for a support, but W + passive do not.

Either she should be made more supportish with a new passive, new W, and less upfront damage, or she should be solidified as a mid laner and not have a snare that lasts long enough for you to go order a coffee at Tim's.

order a coffee? plant coffee, tend fields, harvest, dry, grind, brew, sugar, ice, enjoy, poo cause you drank coffee, take a shower cause you feel gross now, take pc out of sleep mode, and wait for stun to wear off... but I do think the easy fix is to narrow the hit box, sometimes I hit bindings and I don't even know how. However, I do feel that thematically, tormented soil is not too far off, it is also a useful tool for support morg, as it can be used to check bushes before warding without sacrificing q's cooldown. also, the quick Frost Queen's procs are handy :p (if you use anything other than frost queens on support morg, wtf is wrong with you? lol) I guess maybe she could use a tweak or two, but overall, she seems pretty healthy. and honestly, the narrower hit box wouldn't even be a straight nerf.... having pack a lunch for the trip from behind the minions to far enough wide of them to not snare them with the half a lane wide hitbox on q is something I could do without :) also, to clarify, if you are attentive, you can tell if someone is in w even if there are no frost queens stacks, thanks to the health return on her passive, so although it doesn't technically give you vision, you can tell if it hit someone, and the pool is big enough to hit most of the bush.

Honestly, Annie's gameplay is much more unhealthy. An instant cast aoe stun/nuke has pretty limited counterplay. I'm surprised that she isn't being looked at in the mage update.
