I accidentally upgraded an old 9.5 installation and can't watch some stored replays. I think this is really unacceptable. There should at least be a way to find the old 9.5 client install. The idea that my replays become worthless every 2 weeks is just absurd. There is also no replay management whatsoever.

You are meant to record them to video if you want them.
Keeping every old client version would balloon the game to hundreds of gigabytes, even using complex differential patches.
Replays are changed every 2 weeks because, from my understanding, it's a simulated environment. You're not watching a finished match as it was, but rather a recreation/reenactment of the match.
And since champs, runes, items, etc are changed on the basis of fortnightly patches, this would mean it runs into trouble if you were to attempt simulation of older patches while using updated and adjusted version of the game that is different to the one the match took place in.
You're encouraged to film the match you want, which is a feature of the client (in the spectate mode), and keep them around to be reviewed for any number of times after patch updates.
Record and save them as videos. I think this poor record situation fits the game lol. Like when jungler fed enemy top double buffs twice and five minutes later it blames me for losing the top lane lol. When i play the league there are no replay system at all. I wish I recorded some of my fiora penta kills and make a compilation.
Agreed, it is ridiculous to have a replay system that becomes obsolete within 2 weeks, I am now watching videos of how to manipulate riot folders to watch some old games I "recorded". So if I want gameplay saved I have to hit save replay and then sit there and record the entire 50min match, that's lunacy
