@Meddler/Maple Nectar, A great window of opportunity for future [[Wukong]] based on [[Dev Diary]]
So I just watched the Dev Diary and gamplay plans for 2018. I was surprised to know Riot is planning to allow teams to build comps without the "ADCs" being a necessity.
THIS is the greatest opportunity to work on
, and make him the lead example of "carry/hypercarry" champions who can substitute the ADC role.
It's obvious a champion design only won't allow him to take place of the ADC, a lot of things need to be changed in the process [runes, shifting champions and meta power, items etc] , but he's always had the theme of a hypercarry [as he's represented in most of RPG games].
Things we can do to to improve Wukong's game experience:-
-
Allow him to fight multiple enemies [[ Every Wukong fan knows well that he's able to fight multiple targets through utilizing his staff and clones, clones normally in the novel/movies are represented as his shadow, they fight for him, so why not apply such fact? ]]
-
Better use of his Clones. [[ Pressing W to disappear then the clone explodes brings nothing fascinating about Wukong's original theme. Allowing him to control multiple clones and target and hit enemies at a reduced damage will raise his skill cap and bring more to playstyles to the table ]]
-
Make better use of his Nimbus. [[ This should be his passive, giving him more mobility to jump on clouds that appear around the map, giving him outplay potential and weaknesses at the same time. it could be changed to something else, but point if his Cloud should be put to use ]]
-
Stone monkey. He was born out of stone, but doesn't mean this should be included in his kit in a "stone skin" form with the ability to obtain insignificant resistances {{ +8 armor and 8 MR on level 16 for every nearby champion }}.
- the fact that you gave all Tanks/bruisers the ability to acquire that passive with the same NAME [[stone skin]] through
but it only requires 3 enemies rather than 5 to get the same amount of resistances Wukong gets from his passive.
There's a lot of things and design potential that could turn Wukong into an interesting and even popular champion. But in order to achieve that, one must be aware of his traits, the original novel and everything related to him.
and u have won the lane. I don't understand the issue against Wu.*
users.
, but I do think if any champ could pull that off, he could. especially after playing Paragon and seeing how their Wukong can work as a carry just by trading range for Zoning potential. On top of that, if Riot is really trying to make it so champs can be played in more roles including having melee ADCs, then it wouldn't hurt to give him the chance to do so.
Also looking at what you said about improving Wukong's kit, it actually sounds pretty similar to my ideas for his kit I've been working on :p
