Why is no one talking about unsealed spellbook?
Its... bad, and heres why:
Summoners are picked at the start of game, because they are used reactionary. Being able to change them on the fly makes them actionary.
What does that mean? Well...
When you set up summoners you typically say: "Ok i need to be careful so ill take
. I want to bully my opponent
. I am a top laner who doesnt use ignite or wants to tp gank
. Im vs ahri
. I am playing league of legends
. I am playing ARAM
:( .
This means that there are very VERY few times in game when you would want to switch. Summoners are always used as a reaction. Danger?
incoming heavy poke/burst?
etc. You cant PLAN for these. Flash being MANDATORY on all but like 3 champions doesnt help either.
The uses are so few: and typically involve trading a cheese tactic to a viable one... once. Being only useful once isnt useful at all, especially compared to... actually every other keystone in the game.
So whats the solution? Well theres a few.
- Trade it with another inspiration rune and make it a sub-rune.
- Flat remove it
- Rework it: Maybe lowered CDs, or a THIRD summoner. Something that you would actually consider.
The way the rune works means that it is actually impossible to flat nerf or buff so these are the only solutions i see.
I would like to talk more about other inspiration runes as well since it is my most used runes i am STARTING to get the hang of it.
