Camo makes it so you can't ward to see them coming, but they don't need further elements of surprise to take you out.
Think Rengar or Twitch.
Invisiblity is short ranged and combat oriented, focused on jukes and outplays.
Think Talon and Shaco.
Astôlfo1 votesBut... Control Wards see through Camo. And the proximity range is generally long enough the assassin is fucked first. Twitch is fine because he has long-ass range. Rengar's generally fine because he's still overtuned and has ridiculously strong burst and CC removal+heal + CC of his own.

Most assassins pack invisibilty for this purpose. Only a tower can see them.
Only stalker assassins like Eve or Rengar use camouflage.
