Singed doesnt really need nerfs, its just dark seal.

The item is already insane as 1 and when you can effectively build 2, 3 and even 4 it becomes too abusive and since you get most of the gold back as you build items and sell it theres basically no drawback into it.

For you to have an idea, without the potion passive singed gets 700 gold worth of stats for 350 when he buys a single dark seal, so he basically gains a kill worth of gold each time he builds one, this is at 0 stacks (0 extra ap) and also completely ignoring the extra healing potion passive (which also stacks with extra dark seals)

Maybe take off 5 ap from it (so its not just a staight up better dorans ring that is also cheaper even at 0 stacks) and make the potion passive unique, maybe make it sell for half of its price rather than 75%.

If Singed is the only one "abusing" the items, it's likely a champion problem, not an item problem. To be honest though, I really think Singed needs more changed than just numbers. His kit is pretty outdated, lacks interaction, and is all around annoying to play against.

Not to mention, he needs a new voice over, he has less lines in his entire VO than most of the new (or recently reworked) champions have lines on their attacking quotes alone.

He received a visual upgrade but didn't had a VO.

That was not a visual upgrade. That was a glorified texture update. It just slapped new color on an broken down car. He still has his ancient, shitty rigging with next to no animations at all. He needs a full VGU.

XD hes prolly pretty high on the rework list mabad, but still statement still stands, theyll likely gut him and leave him for indefinate time period.

and i realize its not completly gutting but......nerfing champs n items just raise more issues.

If he's that oppressive in pro play, they will nerf him. However, if he's not warping the pro top lane meta in his favor, they likely won't touch him. Kinda like Poppy at worlds. She wasn't too oppressive, and other top laners had a chance to shine as well.

most singed players take runic armour as well, that in conjunction with seals and corrupting pot gives singed insane efficiency with the items.

To be honest the item is kind of overpowered, its just a better dorans ring on pretty much everyone.

Fizz needs a lot other changes anyway (like a way to not make him an ult bot after laning phase) and he would be better off if they reverted his rework.

Well prettty much every mage still buys Dorans and doesnt really get a Dark Seal from what I know, not sure if its that op.

To be honest, I only see Singed building it. Maybe most people just prefer mana regen over extra mana? At least that's the only thing I think about when comparing the two because the kill passive is too risky for my ability to play (I don't expect to get kills or assists a lot).

The problem is either the champion or the item, and if only one champion is buying it... would nerfing the item be the right choice?

It's a difficult decision, imo, even if it might appear minor to the game at large.

it's because singed actually gets bonus hp for building mana and i believe the healing passive on dark seal applies to singed's ult if i'm not mistaken. no other champion gets that much value out of stacking dark seals.
