Just a tip, don't focus the tanks. This should be common sense, but you know?

I really can't possibly understand why anyone would choose to use everything in their kit for a tank rather than focus the squishy player standing right next him? it's really common sense and has lost me more games than I'd like because my team thinks the enemy Sion or enemy Alistar is more important than the enemy Kai'sa or Jhin.

But a carry's #1 job is to stay alive in fights so they can do damage, and that frequently positions then where they can only hit tanks. If they walk up to the enemy kaisa/jhin the tank will cc them/severely hurt, and then they'll die before killing the enemy back line........ That's why a good engage and patient fights are so important, and why you see adcs hitting tanks at high elo.

It's 2018. You can focus the tank and still nuke them with the mass amounts of true damage in the game.

The main reason I see so many people diving tanks more.

ADCs hit what they can reach safely. If the squishy Kog'maw is equally distant from them as the full tank Mundo, obviously it would be better for them to hit the Kog'maw. But 90% of the time this isn't going to be the case, because the enemy squishies will be sitting behind the front line, just as you should be.

Artillery mages like Xerath and Ziggs should AIM for the squishies, but otherwise focus on poking the front line and deterring an engage with their cc. These types of champions like to build Liandry's and Void Staff a lot, so hitting the tanks isn't a big deal for them.

Burst mages like Syndra and Veigar should play more like assassins, in that they should save most of their abilities for squishies who overextend or get caught out of position. However these types of mages still have valuable cc that they can use on the enemy front line should they get too close.

Everyone else can hit whoever they want, because it doesn't matter.

Honestly this is super stuational. A lot of the time the best option is to kill whats in front of you. If you just walk up to their back line while ignoring the tank then you're probably going to eat CC and die. Really ust need to use some sense. Obviously its not ideal for a burst mage to blow everything on the tank in a teamfight, but other classes like bruisers and ADCs sometimes should be focusing the tank

While generally a good idea, this is more for MMOs and RPGs, not a concern here for the past couple years.
