Losing games feels 10 times worse than winning feels good.

At least for me. I played this game for 5 years and last season + this season feels so bad to play. Last season and beginning of this one was "you have a better bot lane? ok you win the game". Now you have to get a better team to win the game. One feeding player can make the game so difficult or just unwinnable. It feels so bad when you played well, but you coin flipped a worse team, and you get deleted by any source of dmg in half a second. On the other side, when you win, I feel like I coulda play with one hand (xd) and win the game. Also, LP gain/loss is a majour factor why people get so toxic. You can lose 3-4 games and your LP goes in the gutter, while you need to win at least 6-7 games, until you start gaining what you once had. Especially in d5 elo where it looks like you can't lose a single game without mmr system deciding you're gonna be hardstuck there. Literally why I'm still playing this game is because I have a shit pc, so I can't install anything else. I'd love to grind this game, but these changes as of late and the whole ranking system as a whole is making the game 10x more frustrating than fun to play.

Winning feels good?

Haven't felt good about winning in a while. Whenever I play I play with my friends and every game is decided by one person feeding an assassin.

I wanna work for my wins, not get them handed to me because damage creep made people forget how to play from behind.

That's riots fault for making people toxic and forcing people to enjoy the game only by winning too bad there are some people that kiss riots ass and defend them when they make trash decisions...

Riot didnt make players toxic that was each persons decision you didnt see them bnging on my door and say start flaming everyone cause Im not enjoying myself. And I hate this state of the game as much as everyone else Ive been hating it since the assassin update and it just got worse during the ardent meta but you still didnt see me being a piece of crap

I think it's because nearly every game is "stomp or get stomped".

So, you win, and you are like "Meh, I basically did nothing... I'm almost sorry for these poor guys". You lose, and you are like "What was I supposed to do, in this totally unbalanced and hyper-snowbally game?". Frustrating.

For me, losing has always felt terrible considering I'm extremely competitive.

But what kills me the most is that Winning doesn't feel that good. Most of the time, my wins are either my team completely stomped the other team 21-2, or the enemy team had an afk or int.

Very rare do I have a game where we make an insane comeback or it's an even game.

I get that feeling. There are two primary factors that create that feeling for me

  1. When a game is clearly lost at 6 minutes and there is no comeback potential due to the draft. It feels terrible to play any game that you know you will lose for 40 minutes.

  2. Your account is in jeopardy if you try to leave.

Other games like fortnite probably feel a lot better since you can leave or start a new game any time you like. Too bad fortnite is a terrible game.

The never give up attitude is both a blessing and a curse. For every 4v5 game you win you've played 4 games where you failed the surrender vote after you lost inhib and everyone on your team has died 8 times.

I think it's worse that your punishment for going AFK in games is a low priority queue that means you sink even more time into one game that can be lost just as easily and if you get a shit comp (again) you cannot dodge. Your only option if your team refuses to surrender is literally inting (the variety where you make bad decisions, not tyler1-ing). If you keep trying to pretend it's winnable you'll tilt and burn yourself out and that can lead to a number of problems far worse than what the one match is already causing.

Yeah I feel the same way honestly. Games do not feel enjoyable to play, but I still do it to help my friends get to gold. The thing is, I cannot take the game seriously anymore, I troll pick almost every game with either something I've never played, or just trying new champions in the jungle. I have the mechanics and game knowledge to back up the choice in pick though so it really doesn't matter what I pick. What I dislike about games in general in League is that winning is incredibly simple, and losing feels completely unwinnable. It is really the 2nd half of this that is a major issue. See last season I spammed ADC to carry my team, I don't feel like there is a role I can do that with this season. Sure I can play Nasus top which I am damn good at, and always win lane, but when it comes to winning the game, winning lane means nothing. It is about how bad lanes lost to specific champions. Nasus fed doesn't really do anything if your whole team is just inting.

What I want is for me to lose in 20 minutes and be able to say it is my fault I lost. Or if its 50 minutes into the game, I want to be the one that dies if I am going to lose. In a competitive game I shouldn't be able to write off games (as often as I do) because I wasn't at all the reason we lost. In contrast, If we win, I want to say that my gameplay mattered.

One of the big things I noticed is that duoing is punished substantially compared to solo. I do not see games as bad as when I duo anywhere else. All 3 teammates feed, and when I look at the ranking difference in op.gg, its pretty massive with all of them being a division behind their lane opponent along with there being a 10% win rate differential as well. In solo almost everyone is even, which I appreciate. But the problem with solo isn't the mmr system, its the game balance. I don't like bounty system, I think it is innately punishing to be good at the game. When you get to 10-0 and you die once, you shouldn't give up 1000 gold to the person who killed you, that is absolutely ridiculous. The amount of punishment that a 1000 gold bounty is... I don't think going 10-1 should be equivalent to going 1-3, but that is how Riot feels the game should be. Btw yes you are worth the same amount as someone who died 3 times with 1 reset of gold. You literally give up your entire advantage with one death and that is kind of a problem.

It has actually gotten to the point where I just intentionally die after 3 kills because it is more worth it to lose the wave than it is to increase my bounty. The way I feel it should go, is that Dragon needs to go back to being gold oriented, not buff oriented, and take away the bounty system entirely. Dragon gold meant that people had a clear and concise way to make comebacks provided they weren't getting crapped on. If you are really so worried about one person trashing a team without a bounty system, the dragon gold gave about half of what the player had gained from getting fed. If you are losing as a team really hard to the point you cant even consider teamfighting, that is your fault for getting there and if noone on your team is winning, maybe you deserve to lose the game.

This promotes solo play, while also reducing the power of the team who is winning against a solo fed player. That means that if that solo fed player dies once in a situation where their team is also just inting, it isn't just game over. They have to then go and get dragon to capitalize on the mistake of that player. This opens up a much wider window of opportunity for people who crush lanes to have an impact on the game, instead of it just meaning nothing like it currently does. And it also makes it so the opposing team to that fed player has a clear and concise objective, kill the guy, get dragon, reset.

I think overall, the main problems with the game are the bounty system and the fact that there is way too much damage in the game. I shouldn't be hardcarrying games as support fiddlesticks.... The fact I have done this time and time again in the last week means something is wrong with the game... Supports shouldn't be doing most damage and having the most impact in the same game.............. The moment this happens, there is too much gold and experience gain, and damage is too high.

My fun used to come from the champion I was playing, now it's from winning. Mainly because all of the champions I had the most fun with were removed or changed heavily. All the unnecessary changes really take away from the simple fun I used to have as well.

Winning's alright, but it's the shit between the load and end screens that make the game fun for me. If I lead a Camille on a wild goose chase where she ends up dying and we still lose, the game was a win for me. Bard

Winning feels like a chore, losing is like why do I even play.

Course I've been a Malzahar player since season 1 and a mid lane mage player in general so I guess I'm going to have to wait a year before the meta gets changed by meddler again. Yeah, that's a winning strategy there ghostcrapper.

Now adc is useless. Feels bad as an adc main. Its getting harder to get myself to play matches. Perhaps this is a wake up call.

Idk man. Almost all of my most memorable games in the last 8 years of me playing have been wins. There are a few firsts I remember that I remember because they are firsts. (first time I had a positive KDA, first draft game, first ranked game, first game period)

But the really memorable ones I can remember multiple champions and several senarios throughout the game. And these ones were amazing because we won against a ton of obstacles stacked against us. Those games felt great and I would take 100 losses to feel those feels.

It doesn't feel bad at all, so long as you had fun. Even in ranked.

I lose TF2 games all the time. I lost games as Veigar during seasons 2-4 all the time. ALL THE FREAKIN' TIME. But I still enjoyed it, because I was doing what I thought was fun and enjoyable for me. I was still trying to win, as it was ranked, but it cetainly didn't upset me if I didn't.

Now that everything's changing practically every two weeks, it's tough to always be playing optimally while doing exactly what you want to be doing as even the smallest of changes can throw the meta haywire. Whether your character becomes way too good or way too bad at what they used to do, it's less fun to play as them than it ever was before as either the challenge or the opportunity that was there before is gone now. Then when unique and impactful choices are thrown out the window all that's left is winning or losing and it shows.

If someone can't stand losing at something, they can't stand playing; let's be real. We all go in expecting not to win or lose but to hone skill at our favorite game and have a good time. If you want to quit after losing at a roguelike, for example, did you ever truly enjoy the game in the first place?

Ok sure but why1 votes

Yeah, when I lose, I'm just enraged about it, and when I win, all I can say is, "Phew. Finally!"
