Yorick is obnoxious. Split-Push Yorick is even worse.
TL;DR: Yorick is basically Nasus, if Nasus got a shit-ton of free stacks just from levelling up. So, Yorick has two jobs in League.
- Harass the enemy opponent to deny him a lead.
- Split push hard as fuck.
Job 1 is easy, because Yorick is a poorly designed champion. What does Riot do with poorly designed champions? They buff the shit out of them to a point where they're viable! His Q deals a shit-ton of damage, and Tri-Force/Steraks makes him deal a shit-ton more because they gave him so much base damage to compensate for a bad kit.
Job 2 is even easier. All the little midgets he summons are hard to hit, and they get ignored by turrets if they're too busy focusing on. If someone tries stopping you, your Maiden thing will harass them into no longer trying to stop you. He forces your team to outnumber you, letting the rest of his team have a numbers advantage as they go elsewhere. Nasus is at least capable of being shut down early on. Yorick is given all his power through his raw base stats, so shutting him down doesn't do much.
I heard the "If he's so OP, play him yourself!" line before.
So I did. I bought him today, went Split-Pusher Yorick.

(Ignoring the REAL first game because my entire team literally afk'd in base at 15 minutes)
The "first" game I played, I got shut down early by someone who counters me: Lucian. Annoying ass dashing everywhere, and getting a second auto attack that locks onto my gremlins with ease. It was a nightmare! My trolling, feeding team didn't make things any more fun. But you know what? When the teamfights started, I stayed splitting. I Banner'd my cannon minion, laid down a portal and ulted, and I took towers faster than you could call bullshit on it.
I went 6/13/5, did around 20k damage to turrets, and single-handedly won our team the game by getting all the inhibs in an unstoppable way. Their whole team was fed, but they could do nothing to kill my Maiden, Gremlins, Promoted Cannon Minion and me. It was basically an 8v5.
It was dumb, annoying, and it made me feel guilty for using someone so bland, hyper-tuned and obnoxious.
