It's not the most practical build for Wukong, but it is a lot of fun and no one would ever see it coming.
It's not worth seeing coming nor is it practical ever. You don't do bonus damage on your main damage spells and can only whack them.
Blue Moon Wolf1 votesThat's the point of it. It makes AAing and using abilities just to proc are the main focus rather than his Q and Ult. I'm not saying AP Wukong is something that should be brought into ranked, nor am I saying that it can be more useful in certain situations than building AD.
All I'm saying is that it's fun and makes for a unique way to use a pretty much stale kit that likely won't be seeing anything new for another 3 years.

Wit End's attack speed has more synergy with other possible on-hit effects that your champion buy or naturally has. Unless those on-hit effects scale with AD.

It's a bit like comparing Ohmwreker to Frozenheart, even if you're a splitpushing champion who would really like to shut off towers Frozenheart is still a better item.

Spaceman5pff1 votesI think you are massively undervaluing wits. Maw is actually pretty shit-tier on Shyv, as she BARELY scales with AD, and scales MASSIVELY well with attack speed. The Wits passive benefits her W and E greatly. The only thing it lacks is sticking power, which shyv doesn't much struggle with.
LankPants1 votesI would never buy Wits over Maw on Shyv, you buy Maw for the sheild mostly, the AD is just added benefit.
Also Shyv does scale with AD at least more than you're giving her credit. AA-Twinbite reset is a 3.0 AD ratio when Twinbite is maxed, that is a fair sum of AD based burst. When you consider that even Hex is probably better than Wits in the generic case I'd always go Maw>Wits on Shyv. I do build Cinder though so maybe that skews it a little.

Word also. Not like this is my get to diamond strategy or anything but if you combo wits, black clever and hurricane on a long range ad carry let your tanks go in first per usually and shred defense and dps whilst making your tanks and mages deal more dps as the fight persists. That gives you room for a set of boots and 2 more items if the game goes late. Hell this might help hidden tank teemo return lol. Gonna be sweet.

MaW isn't even built on Shyvana, while Wit's End is a niche item (the one with the highest winrate: 62%, actually). Wit's end is already built more on her than MaW is, I think after the buff, Wit's will definitely be a better pick. 300g is a huge buff. Wukong's winrate went from 51% to 54% just because Black cleaver got buffed (-300g and -5 AD) and sunfirecape got nerfed (+200g) (In total, this is about 350g stats difference compared to most meta toplaners).
