1: It doesn't move 2: If you move to the side well golly G!!! You just by passed it. (It's only like 1 unit thick) 3: It has a long CD, so please, stop acting like it negates your kit because you're too dumb, to take advantage of the 22 second CD.

Uh you do know a good Yasuo will usually fight right on top of the windwall where it's easy to E or walk to the other side from you, right?

Guy Fox Teemo1 votes

its 1 unit thick, you can't fight "On top of it" yasuos hit box is about 150 units

Kitten of Evil1 votes

You know what I mean. It's a bi-directional wall, and lasts a rather long time, so it's not like you can just walk through it and problem solved. He'll just E through you or a nearby minion and now he's on the other side again. He wants to be near the wall anyway, so he can poke you through it.

I think it just needs a duration shift -- make it change duration based on his flow when he casts it. Or make it one-directional (like Braum's E) and problem solved. 3.75 seconds of Braum E in both directions is really long in a teamfight.

Guy Fox Teemo1 votes

Btw Braums E works both ways, just not seen often since he can move his shield. And your example only works when their are several enemy's.

There is also no problem, Yasuo isn't Super strong or Super Weak. You're trying to fix something that isn't broken.

"If it ain't broken, don't fix it"

Kitten of Evil1 votes

I mean, Evelynn and Poppy aren't super strong or super weak either. Doesn't mean their kits are healthy. A Yasuo wind wall provides a huge amount of utility in teamfights, where there are several enemies. It's also wider than Braum's shield, costs no mana, and completely destroys projectiles (Braum just intercepts them and has up to 40% damage reduction).

It's a part of why Yasuo's kit is unhealthy. It is sort of a unique mechanic but at early levels, it's a bit much. Yasuos will often drop a wind wall in front of minions so you can't last-hit for 4 seconds.

Guy Fox Teemo1 votes

Actually Evelynn's kit is insanely strong and broken due to her passive. And so is poppys (Even more so), but they've been nerfed A LOOOOOOOOOOOT, poppy would be the most broken champion the game if she became relevant. Evelynn i think last year was decent and was like 100% pick/ban rate in LCS.

Yasuo's kit is utility, he doesn't do any damage. At least his Kit it self doesn't it's all utility, he's a hyper carry who does incredibly well when played right. If not he's one of the worst champions on your team due to him, not doing any damage without items. Unlike someone like Annie who doesn't need to be very fed to deal huge amounts due to her having very high base damages.

That's why you wait out the wall, bait it, whatever, then go in or go back in.

Kitten of Evil1 votes

He usually does it in a teamfight as the initiate happens, or right after it. I mean, unless he's completely braindead. And in lane, he will often use it to block minion last-hits or your one or two poke skills, which are usually on pretty long cooldowns (Lux Q and E, for example)

You're* It's not wise to call people dumb when you don't know the difference between "Your" and "You're".

It's the grammar police, omg I'm so sorry, you knew 100% what meant, but you have to be an ass about grammar on a Video Game Fourm :/

PastaMario2 votes

It's more of an issue concerning your credibility. Reading a statement with grammatical errors will make readers less likely to agree with what they are reading. Not that I don't agree with what you said at the top, but the grammar's effect is still there. Good thing you edited it, at least.

Guide to play vs yasuo is as follows. Play Malzahar , proceed to win. Prophet from the tears of the yasuo.

TacoTheKitten1 votes

Well technically as yas you can counter malz, but you have to stray far from ordinary build path. Rush hexdrinker and qss. The matchup is still hell for yas tho.

Baunjo1 votes

Yeah but your investment is completely into 1 champion, which is really ideal to make a champion build specifically for their opponent.

2nd most played champion is Yasuo, 1st most played champion is Zed Defends windwall is a balanced skill

Fuck off you CertainlyT jack off.

Windwall is the stupidest design concept ever behind Morde's rework.

I guarantee Icefrog (the guy who basically does 90% of balancing and designing for dota) thought of having something like windwall in the game, but decided that it is retarded because it totally negates champions, and that is never good.

If you know anything about geometry and angles, if Yasuo puts his windwall at a distance away from you, all he has to do is simply position himself away from you straight behind the windwall to negate your skills if he chooses, which, guess what, is "1 unit thick". Not to mention his stupidly mobile no CD E can position himself even quicker.

My dear lord, people who play LoL these days are so ignorant and brainwashed.

That windwall has an absurdly long cooldown. It's not hard to bait out most of the time.

Windwall doesn't "totally negate champions" as you claim. It does change how you have to play your champion, but it's just another ability you would need to play around, similar to how you would play around Ashe having her ult, Veigar having his cage, or similar utility spells that the opponent can have. Veigar having an on-demand AoE stun, or Ashe having a global stun doesn't negate champions any more than Wind Wall.

The argument of Yasuo putting his wall at a distance and standing away from you to negate abilities is pretty weak. Any ranged champion can negate your abilities and still deal damage simply by kiting, they don't need a wind wall. Yasuo can't even strike back through the windwall from range unless he has his 3rd Q ready, or a teammate of his sends you airborne.

He's hard to come out of lane ahead with, and just about anyone can shut him down/zone him. If you're really afraid of the matchup, try someone with low cooldowns or no projectiles, such as Annie or Malzahar.

This just in, there already is a champion in this game who negates abilities/ auto attacksTeemo Quinn Morgana Jax in fact atleast 4 of them have been confirmed! SHOCKING!

EDIT: Another champion has been confirmed! Braum EDIT: This news is groundbreaking! It is being said that not 1) item 3222 not 2) item 3102 but in fact 3) item 3140 items are confirmed to negate champion abilities, including an addition of another champion Sivir AND INTRODUCING A FIRST TIME APPEARANCE OF A SUMMONER SPELL summoner 1 OMFG!

Played a 1 for all game as yas against malz, guess what Windwall didn't do shit. Against alot of champions he has a useless ability.

Kitten of Evil3 votes

It's never useless. In every game, you will eventually encounter the enemy ADC, who will be ranged. So once laning ends, there will be at least one person who it is useful against, and probably more -- most supports rely either on ranged attacks or projectile grabs/skillshots.

JustMyBassCannon1 votes

>enemy ADC is Kayle for some reason

Welp

Kitten of Evil1 votes

She still would want to use Q! But yes, I never see Kayles. Not even in jungle anymore, since the nerfs.

JustMyBassCannon1 votes

I know, right?

I miss Kayle...

Environmentalist1 votes

hahahahah agree ^^^^^^^ I hate playing vs. Yasuo because he's so constantly picked and just plain annoying, BUT LET'S BE REAL His windwall IS NOT THE END OF THE GAME learn to play around abilities, instead of complaining about them

2: If you move to the side well golly G!!! You just by passed it. (It's only like 1 unit thick)

I'm sorry, I didn't know that walking through the wall as Ashe was a good idea. Maybe I'll keep that in mind next time and run into their team.

Guy Fox Teemo1 votes

I said move to the side? Also why is that people have this mentality that Yasuo should never be able to block anything they do. They seem to think that they should be able to land every skill shot without interference. Yes Yasuo's windwall block projectiles and its going to continue to do that, it has counter play learn it and deal with god people and their ignorance.

Baunjo1 votes

Why the hell are you taking ashe mid xD or atleast trying to 1v1 yasuo as ashe...

LankPants1 votes

Why the hell are you taking ashe mid

I actually do play that, but it's not the point of the comment.

Yas is too good at shutting down ranged champs in team fights. Often you don't have the option to move around or through the wall and when that happens you lose all your DPS for 4 seconds.

Baunjo1 votes

Oh no not 4 seconds! Damn that is a terribly long and boring wait for an ability to dissipate xD

And You're the kid I was arguing with on a Lee sin QQ thread with earlier! Nice to see you again :)

LankPants3 votes

Have you ever tried doing the math for what 4 seconds of DPS is?

For a champ with 55% Crit chance and 300 AD with an IE and 1.5 AS that's 3285 damage. That's enough damage to kill Yasuo, in some cases it's enough damage to kill him twice.

Losing 4 seconds worth of DPS in a fight is fairly game changing. Considering how game changing the rest of Yas's kit is it's very bad design.

Baunjo1 votes

Again, you are being completely oblivious to important things. You do not need to fight the enemy every time you see them, and in this case you literally cannot depending on your juxtaposition.

So? YOU WAIT IT OUT.

If your team is smart, they will not just jump in there knowing they will likely recieve minimal help from their team for a few seconds. Also, they will ideally keep yasuo off of you if he decides to go through is windwall.
