This Nasus buff seems a little over the top

Halving the cooldown on his Q while his R is active just seems insanely powerful. He already melts just about anyone once he has Q stacked up, and now he'll do it twice as fast?

If we were removing stormraiders or something, I'd get it. In his current state though, that seems too strong. Like, strong enough to make him GOOD at teamfights when that's supposed to be his weakness. He'll simply have too much damage for the front line to even soak up.

tanks actually have to be wary of a melee hypercarry instead of stunlocking him with no risk of taking damage?

what a tragedy xd

infinite stacking damage champion getting % shred to fight tanks and a DPS steroid on his ult

not a hypercarry

Nasus is not a hypercarry atm but he is supposed to be a hypercarry

though this buff is too much, should be 35% at best

If he was a melee hypercarry this wouldn't be a problem.

Thing is, he's a bruiser with loads of tankiness on top of his damage, and a strong ranged targeted CC ability himself (wither op). Your allied carries aren't going to shred him to bits like they would a Darius or Jax. They're also not going to be able to just kite away from him on their own without your peel in front of them, like they could a Darius or Illaoi. The only counterplay to Nasus was that he couldn't really threaten the front line overly much so they could peel him for the back line for long enough for your allies to win the fight. His lack of mobility meant that even if he withered a carry a little bit of allied peel would let that carry live.

Now, he'll just wither the Irelia and kill her directly instead.

A Tryndamere or Fiora don't have this issue. Sure, they can shred Maokai or Poppy better than Nasus can, but if they get cc'd the enemy ADC and APC are going to tear them apart. Nasus doesn't have that weakness. Hell, you try to 5v1 collapse on a split pushing Nasus with a halved cd on his Q and he'll almost always grab a kill before you get him - that's how strong it is.

bruiser and hypercarry aren't mutually exclusive

Your allied carries aren't going to shred him to bits like they would a Darius or Jax.

late game? yeah they would, gaining flat resists doesn't really help him against items like item 3033 / item 3036 or true damage champions. as long as your team isn't scattered taking down a Nasus will still be easier than a Darius in the same scenario, since Darius has sustain scaling with himself and Nasus's lifestealing can still be reduced by defensive stats (he's also single target, so no chance of taking down multiple people at once like Darius or Illaoi)

you're probably not going to peel a Darius solo after he has DMP/Glory and Cleaver, especially not if he has stormraiders. Darius, like Nasus, will get beat up by enemy coordination and will require his team to coordinate to make them succeed in teamfights.

The only counterplay to Nasus was that he couldn't really threaten the front line overly much so they could peel him for the back line for long enough for your allies to win the fight.

counterplay to Nasus is to prevent him from getting stacked enough to threaten your tanks in the first place. as well as walking off of his E which will now have a much more significant impact on cutting Nasus's damage to you than it did before if you're building tanky

nasus is allowed to be tankier than trynd and fiora because he doesn't have the tools they do to avoid or negate incoming damage.

Jesus, he's going to be more broken than if I intentionally tried to make him broken.

Nah, he needs buffs like this. The problem is that it's in the wrong place. His ult's already fairly powerful, and even with this change he wouldn't be getting off many more Qs in its 10s duration, on account of being immobile as shit.

Problem is one of the biggest reason that Nasus has been weak for so long is that back in season 2/3 they cut the extended range in ult for for his Q,W,E. This made him strong in team fights. then they removed the extra range when he ults, cut wither's AS duration to half of the slow duration and later he lost the AD building on his ult for defensive stats. The ult is the best place to add the Q buff back actually b/c it is windowed power he only gets in his ult. It will make him think do I want to split this wave and maybe take an extra tower faster and ult? Or do I save my ult for an important teamfight to have increased damage?

He will get off plenty of q's on enemy tanks diving his back line. Before this buff, he didn't have the armor shred to deal with tanks so it was kind of pointless. Now he has double the q dps and %armor shred, so he can hit the enemy frontline which often isn't as mobile or burned its mobility spells trying to get on your backline.
