Gangplank when reworked should remain CritPlank otherwise Riot is destroying his identity

I dream of a healthier and more counterplay centric CritPlank.

Melee Carry that aids his allies in offensive ways. A true Pirate Captain.

Also nuking people with pistols is fun as fuck.

Thats kinda what i'm expecting. The past few heavy reworks have been done in such a way the champions core identity remains. Only one that didn't was Sion because he didn't have one before the rework.

In terms of AD Sion he was this somewhat unkillable and unstoppable brute. Thats really all he had in terms of an identity.

He isn't like GP where he has a clear gameplay identity, just how he does it isn't exactly healthy in its current state.

I just hope they leave his Q as it is, it's so fun having a nuke that applies on hit effects, Shiv/Hydra/Gauntlet makes for some top lels.

Crit is really the only thing that he can do. The rest of his kit has no damage or real point to it.

Its somewhat obvious they wanted him to be a Melee ADC tho. His Q can crit, he gets AD from his E. He has a way to get out of bad fights with his W. His R and passive are there to help him secure the chase or kill on a target.

I just wish we had a more modern version of that ideal. Current kit is bland and toxic.
