I think that going back to the mana tank would be best. Turn it much more into a sustained damage thing rather than QWEQWE and kill a squishy. An AP tank duelist.

If a champion requires a 4th rework, that just means that it's impossible to balance and should be deleted.

not a single abillity of the original ryze was kept, he is a completly different champ he didn't even have mana scaling when he was released. That means the problem is RIOT not ryze, they aren't finding how to give him a good kit.

Soraka's had 3 or 4, she's still in the game and the first Soraka was so much stronger than this one we have now. If you think Soraka now is strong, just look at her first release, and thank Riot for reworking that.

the main issue with ryze right now, is that he is too polarizing. What I mean by this is that, the players that are average or below average with ryze suck, but then the players that are good or really good with him, make him look like a god. I'm not even joking. So he suffers from a similar problem as azir except theres less room to work around with in his kit, and as a matter of fact, he's even more polarizing than azir, because even a decent azir can still do quite a bit as long as he can position himself properly. What I'm trying to say is: Ryze is too strong for the people that are good with him, and too weak for the people that aren't.

It's not hard to spam your spells like a moron in order to perma root the ennemy.

when they finally get that a point n click lockdown on a basic spell is insanely powerfull and should consume alot of the powerbudget. Giving ryzw the potential to deal stupid amounts of point n click burst on top was bad in the past. Giving him the potential to use said lockdown with nearly now downtime while still dealing stupid amounts of damage wasn't exactly smart for the recent ryze...binding that damage+snare-recasts to a mechanicall demanding combo pattern wasn't the best allso, seeing the ryze is close to lowest winrate in generall, but pick ban at proplay, haveing probably the highest skillfloor of any champ right now while he always was labled as an beginner champ in the past.

Imo the healthies way was mana-tank with sustained damage, just that his opponents need more options of avoiding ryze shit than they had in the past(Q beeing a skillshot is pointless if the victim is snared till it dies...)

Also, he never was an assasin. Burst does not mean assasin. Assasins have mobillity that allows them to choose their targets, ryze had no mobillity at all. He was a burst mage, like annie.

Even back when he was an "assassin" at least he wasn't manaless. And he was also very short range. If you let him get close enough to stun you, you f*cked up and you deserve whatever happens.

yea, i wish riot reverted him back to this, but the problem is that if you encountered him in a bush jungle you were dead this was 100% sure because of his kit and his old damage.

Does Riot do proper testing and proper brainstorming?

I get reworks can happen often since the game changes, but Ryze is one of those that just seems to be Broken all the time.

Sion and Poppy are doing good for now, but the broken and OP have been more frequent recently. But Ryze makes it seem they are not thinking it through well enough.

I hope they can make something good happen. Not that this Ryze is awful, but still a bit busted.
