Can we just get rid of Runaan's?

Honestly, if people are complaining about Kalista, that item is what they should be complaining about. When she came out, she felt balanced, if not even a little underpowered. Then people started building, even rushing Runaans, on her... an adc!

I swear that item is either next to useless or broken as hell on champions. Why do we need it?

Maybe if we got rid of it, Riot could even revert the nerfs to Kayle's attack speed.

thoughts?

Actually not a bad plan. They either need to fix its interaction in the game or get rid of it.

Don't get me wrong, whichever Riot designer came up with it, it's a great concept, and I could love it if it weren't broken on some champs. But it's broken on some champs.

I don't think that would be fair. Would make AD Kennen and Teemo and Kayle and more weaker just to nerf Kalista, when you could just nerf Kalista.

The Runanns, on her allows her to farm better, and rend all targets. Also, with the attack speed, she can weave in and out and back and forth. It suits her well because of her passive. Also, team fight specifically, you can put out more damage, and help your team. Rend also slows.

Yes, you're explaining how it's been buffing Kalista. The same could be said last year with Kayle, she cleared waves faster, and applied her passive to everyone in a team battle, shredding everyone's armour and magic resist. All thanks to Runaans. The solution was to gut kayle to the point where she's hardly ever played just because she has the option to build Runaans.

Kalista never needed Runaans. When I played her before, she functioned quite fine. She cleared waves with her Q after criting the first minion in a wave, she built AD first like other marksmen, her Q would serve as a very good poke, and with berserkers and zeal she could still pursue lane opponents and last hit them with E easily enough.

With runaans, she doesn't even need her Q, she just hops around the battlefield, spraying people with her E proc, unable to be caught by any kind of melee champion. Should we gut her attack speed? No. She was fine when she didn't build runaaans, she had strengths and weaknesses. With runaans, she has no weakness. and it completely changes her identity as a burst marksman with some dps and kiting potential, into a kite version of Singed.

Have you ever played kayle? she has plenty of weaknesses, the issue is simply that both her strengths and weaknesses are malleable. runaan's adds one strength (team shred and igher total DPS from more attacks), but at a different weakness. what do you give up for it? an ap item? less bust, they have more chances to kill you, or escape, or wait for backup. a defensive item? now you die faster. She scales so hard with items, and her kit is so malleable, that you can pick any 6 items except item 3074 and find a way to play it.

to pre-empt the incoming hurr durr easymode champ no weaknesses crowd:

-low sustain. Yeah, yeah, heal on the W. it's mana cost is pretty high and if you can force her to use it just for healing, she'll get bullied out fast. -slow mover. Again, yeah W, but if she's burning mana to dodge all your skill shots and not turning that mana burnt into an advantage, you're likely winning. also means questionable roaming. -No hard CC. there are several champs to whom the only real counter is hard CC. she can, at most, usually buy herself some extra time in a losing fight. -can only help one target. foce her to make a choice in teamfights: who do I save? an early kayle pick is code for don't take assassins, take AOE. anivia, ziggs, annie, ori, etc all do pretty well. -Poor burst. Yes, you can build rabadons, lichbane, and zhonyas to get some, but that's a ton of investment. when her nerfs came through, they ht the upfront damage the hardest. you have time to react.

Absent a rework, kayle will always be a late game powerhouse, but so will jax, trundle, azir, nautilus, vayne, xerath, sion..........

she only felt "balanced" when she came out because nobody knew how to play as her. now everyone has learned her and can faceroll. let's not give item 3085 the same treatment that item 3100 got because of Fizz
