Just wondering.
Renekton has always been a problematic pick. If he gets the slightest lead he can get horribly oppressive. More than many other champions. I'ld say he was a candidate for a rework rather than a buff.
There are so many champion who are in need of slight changes you could have chosen. Champions who are much less of a danger to become oppressive.
So, why Renekton?

Narasimha5 votesRenekton is supposed to be the ideal top lane bully. And thats what the changes are aimed at. He's more rewarded for being aggressive, and is less effective when playing passive. It actually helps balance him out.

Linna Excel1 votesRenek is supposed to be the best toplaner according to riot. He was supposed to be the stick that they measured all other tops against. When he was nerfed out of favor, riot lost their measuring stick.
Sooko1 votesHe might be just easier to balance than other champions. His issue was not being the king of top lane anymore, while not making up for his weak late game.
Urgot has plenty of issues to be fixed: low mobility, low range, few actual places in the meta where he was meant to go (ADC role), tankiness and range (he used to be one of the three ranged tanks in the game, alongside Vlad and Thresh, but Riot changed him and Thresh to fighters :c ), mana problems and so on... It seems a little harder to make a champion like him viable compared to Renekton, who was viable not so long ago...
