Some of these masteries have me really concerned about the power initiators are going to have. Many of them are naturally tanky and that's fine, I'm not too concerned about them getting a bit more tanky with shields, etc. But many of these tanks, Nautilus and Malphite as two examples, put out disgusting levels of damage without any real damage items - especially Malphite considering his armor scaling damage. Please tell me you'll plan on retuning many of these tanks damage down because I really don't want to go back to that garbage tank meta we had this season. That was legitimately the most unfun time I've ever had playing league of legends in 5 years of playing.

I think that tanks honestly need the reward for doing their job.

Keep in mind that whatever damage they were dealing with Decree or Undying isn't there anymore, and those are massive contributors to free damage. Support tanks will be unlikely to give up Bond so it's only reliable on serious initiator tanks. Even then it's dubious whether or not many tanks actually want to use it, because many are dependent on health scaling and Undying would still be a pretty attractive option when you stack health. The only ones that would actually use it are probably Rammus, Malphite, Poppy, and maybe Galio. Hell, we should probably expect off-tank-carries like Udyr and Jax to begin abusing it.

This is all assuming that A: The shield won't stack with consecutive CCs, and B: It doesn't have any kind of tank stat scaling. Because I really hope that only one of the two is false, (preferably B) since tanks really need a reason to pick it over Undying.

Even Malphite is an arguable case. Remember, CotC only procs on hard CC - and Malphite has exactly 1 hard CC ability in his kit, which has a fairly long cooldown.

I'm betting it's like thunder lords where it procs every 45 secs for like 100 dmg scaling. The same oh shit feeling came by me. But then I thought about it. Any clue why aegis has no health?
