The new champ select is broken and frustratingly tedious. Bring back TeamBuilder.

We just sat over 20 minutes not being able to get into a game. Twice we had the champ select freeze when someone didn't lock their pick in and had to restart the League client entirely. If you were going to put this mode in and force us former TeamBuilder players into it (because_** FUCK **_ playing Blind Pick), maybe you should've made sure to fix any bugs and issues it had? I'm not one of those people advocating for the return of TB because I'm forced into roles I don't want. I'm fine with the role select. Hell, I haven't even seen people not take their assigned roles, I guess I'm lucky. I just hate getting kicked back to the main queue when someone fails to lock or dodges.

Please find a way for us to stay in champ select when this happens. Having to go through the entire pick and ban process several times because of this is frustratingly tedious. At least in TB you could do something else until someone joined in the spot you needed to fill. I'm not saying to get rid of the new mode, but was their really any reason we couldn't have TB too?

team builder was even more broken. you always have to lane against Plat or higher players

Only if you played the same champion that you were really good at and then tried to shift to a different champ you weren't as good with, the MMR wouldn't adjust for that. The new champ select does have the advantage that it keeps your MMR the same regardless of which champ you pick, I will admit that. Still despite it's relatively minor flaws, I think TeamBuilder was a better system than what they gave us. It isn't broken because of match up, or even the dodge/lock in problems, IT'S FUCKING CRASHING THE CLIENT!!!

You do realize teambuilder WAS a blind pick mode, right? You just got the opportunity to assert or assimilate your pick and role in a selective lobby. You were still picking into an unknown enemy that could easily counter you.

I felt the same way as you at first, but im finding this new champ select to be better than teambuilder. In TB actually finding a game could take an abysmally long time if youre playing a popular lane, or trying to play something relatively off meta and be rejected over and over until someone apathetic or trying to troll picked you up.

But with the quickness and efficiency of this new champ select i find myself always playing what i want where i want it, without the unnecessary waiting. I mean that could just be me, but i think this new champ select--as frustratingly buggy and crashing as it is right now--is marginally better than Teambuilder was.

What I meant was normal blind pick where if you entered into champ select late you probably have no idea what lane is open or where anyone is going and while lane stealing apparently happens in the new mode it's still not even close to the amount of lane stealing trolls that infest regular blinds.
