Remember before the reworks went live people said Darius was the only one not nerfed?

Turns out he is the weakest by far.

Lesson here is don't bitch and whine about things before they are released because you all look like idiots right now.

Criticize? If you have access to PBE and have actually tried it out or watched someone try it out, sure. Bitch and whine because you think you know what you are reading ACTUALLY means when it hits live? No.

Let's be honest, the PBE isn't a good place to judge balance. I don't know how many games we had a bruiser support with a fighter ADC or something silly like that, just because people wanted to test stuff.

I try to actually test thing out when I am on there but you are right that it is not a good place to judge balance. However, you can get a general feel for the champion and how the changes are actually going to hit them rather than just reading the patch notes and throwing a fit.

It's definitely better than relying on just the patch notes, and infinitely better than listening to the forum, but it still leaves a whole lot of room for surprise.

All in all well said though.

Well, on PBE, pople said skarner is up. Lookat him now. Biggest win rate in history of LoL. Oh, and Darius get's buff next patch. +20 DMG on Q on all ranks, and increased attack speed

garens first iteration was shit.

imagine adc slowing themselves when they auto attack someone. or darius slowing himself when he hits someone with his q. thats literally how fucked up the self slow on his spin was.

what made the difference was that there were a lot of changes that followed after the initial teaser, that made him actually strong. instead of the self slow he deals 25% less damage to multiple targets. which means he actually speeds up by spinning on a creepwave and champions, with a cleaver now. instead of slowing himself down, he gains ability to stick once hes in melee.

this is a difference like night and day.

they also changed his w to be able to be fully stacked with 1 point put into it. previously the resistance cap was limited by rank. which means you usually had to deal with 10 bonus resistance on the w instead of 20% until lategame, since the w is usually maxed last.

much like garen, skarner also got a bunch of changes from the moment of his first teaser.

its not wrong that darius was probably the strongest rework at the moment they officially teased the juggernaut update.

Actually, the first version of Garen was absolute shit.

The rest where fine.

Villain mechanic is stick stupid and out of place, but the rest is more a shift in power than anything else.

The first iterations of Garen and Skarner were really bad, and people absolutely hated the Mordekaiser rework, but people actually liked the Darius rework. It wasn't after Garen and Skarner got buffs on the PBE that they actually were even half-decent picks (not implying their power levels here, we all know that Garen is a little strong and Skarner is broken as heck).
