I dont know what to say about this game. This game was unreal. By far the longest game I ever played at exactly 75 minutes (1 hour 15 minutes).

Our team was getting creamed. I was top lane vs Teemo. Held him in check in lane but then later he got a quadra kill in a team fight and just started rolling.

Our Rengar was going for the gold for most deaths NA. Our team almost lost the game around 30 something minute mark.

Other team got 3 Barons and 5 Dragons while all we got all game was 1 Baron.

The good thing was that even though Rengar was dieing so much....no one flamed him so there was no arguing. We started coming back.

It seemed like for some reason the only team fights we won was when the other team had Baron....weird huh?

Fights were just back and forth.....just came down to who died 1st...our Cait or other teams Teemo.

So then I tell my team SELL YOUR BOOTS.

We all sell our boots and that last fight was a slaughter lol........I flashed in and caught 4 of them with full ult doing over 1400 damage followed by a lux ult that should of been doing at least 1200 or 1300. And that was just 4v5 because our Rengar was busy redeeming hiself back dooring the bot lane and it was GG

So people SELL THEM BOOTS, Comebacks are real!

Yep. If the game is going late enough that you have enough gold to sell items for better items, do it. I've had games where I start off bad as Ashe so I go item 3508 over item 3031 but come late I may swap it out for the extra damage. Or sell boots for item 3046 so the extra attack speed and damage reduction may carry me through a fight. You might've built an item and realized another would be better, so if you can afford to change cause you have excess gold, do it.

Another good strategy is if the enemy team has taken your towers (even nexus towers) but they aren't trying to end is to sell boots, get a zz'rot, place it, sell zz'rot, and buy back boots. It helps stall the waves pushing your base so you can go contest that Baron that you otherwise wouldn't be able to. Risky if they have TP or backdoor potential, but it's a sound strategy if you're literally at the end of your rope.

Yeah for this game i was lucky. The only AD they had was EZ and he really wasnt doing much. So my passive really kicked in because I was getting the %50 AP for all the magic resist i had for their 3 AP champs. I originally sold the boots for item 3026 but then when it went on cooldown I sold it for the item 3102. And at the same time I sold the item 3157 that also went on cooldown and got item 3089 .

I have had few games that long. Whole enemy team already sold boots, none of my team did except me. I told them to do that whole game, we lost of course...

at that point in the game when one team fight is going to be the deciding factor for who wins, you'd be a fool not to sell your boots to get any edge up you can.

I am convinced that it was teemo's failure that lost this match.

he actually had the wrong boots and less cs than ezreal and SO MANY DEATHS

yeah it used to be a lot easier since more items had movement speed. especially. zephyr.
