Everybody except for tank Ekko mains abusers understands that tank Ekko is the worst thing that happened to this game since Scarra's midlane AP Yi. This build having positive winratio is not alarming, it's strictly unacceptable.

Zero Skill Tank2 votesHow much effective this is is irrelevant, as long as it is effective at all. Tank Ekko is the most toxic build since AP Yi, as long as it is any close to viable it should get nerfed over and over.
Right now Tank Ekko has roughly 5% pickrate. This is hardly "off-meta" build.

Tank ekko has to much free damage given in the kit for the utility it gives. The one weakness it is supposed to have is that you can blow up the champ. If tank ekko is viable then it crowds out most other choices limiting the pool even more than what is natural.
Off builds are rarely healthy for this reason, and is the reason riot does not support them.

Angry Monster1 votesactually not off hand. They made the post while nerfing ekko some months ago. Gist of the post was that Tank Ekko cant be viable because his kit makes it over powered. Game health dedicates that Ekkos kit can not be allowed to be used in a tankie way.

tanks dealing lots of damage early in the game is the norm.

lccarus1 votesAs a team, he's not that sticky if you work together. Don't pick an immobile ADC, Janna/Nami/Karma support works well, a good jungler who knows to peel, it's entirely relevant to suggest working as a team through proven methods.
