Honestly: Good job balancing Riot

Skorch··6 votes·543 views

I know people complained a lot that you werent doing your job, and the game is incredoubly unbalanced (for whatever reason they said this DURING preseason DURING Riots break)

But slowly you are widdling down the number of issues league has had this preseason. And champion winrates are slowly becoming more manageable (im pretty sure a few champs hit 57% winrate this preseason, which is pretty damn high)

I dont have the records for this patch yet since its actually only 2 hours old, but i think Riot deserves a Good Job. Hopefully they will continue good work on fixing league.

Those Camille and Jayce nerfs though... [zombie-nunu-hearts]

Personally i don't see Jayce anymore so i don't really want to comment on him. And I still think Riot is keeping a close eye on camille since they did nerf her 2 or so patches ago.

i dont see them working around mages oneshoting ppl with a morelo. Or cases like Vi Heca Poppy etc. Altho tbh i dont wanna see Vi nerfed she doesnt deserve nerfs because the masteries are retarded on her.

Skorch3 votes

Exactly, they nerfed jg AND cotc this patch to try to put vi and heca in line. Although the mage issues still kinda suck, although I feel champs like Annie Veigar Syndra probably SHOULD be able to kill you in 2 or so rotations of spells. The main issue with them i see is Annie gets double bot lane, hits 6 before you, one shots you. THAT i dont like

The issue with mages comes largely from the removal of the MR aura, and the fact that, for 6+ seasons, mages and MR itemization have been balanced around it existing.

yeah.... no..

Whys that? I mean undoubtedly there are still balancing issues but Riot has been doing a pretty damn good job trying to put people back in line.

what about all the other things wrong with the game? and what about the towers? they still need a MASSIVE buff. the fact that games last like 20-25 minutes now etc...

Yeah those are problems but look at the steps riot is taking to attempt to slowly fix it. They can't outright full buff things as those might cause even more snowball. A thing people dont understand is balance is taken slowly. Yes there are still issues but riot is trying to fix them.

For instance Riot doesnt want to buff towers and risk making them to strong so they slightly lowered jg pressure to try to make it harder to get ftb.

of course, congratulation for your balance riot

your balance is literally perfect around plat/d5 your balance is the worst balance i ever saw in HON/dota/heroes evolved combined, when it comes to high elo

but no one can blame you, because high elo is 0.01% of the players

Skorch2 votes

Actually plat is a decent place to balance from. Its a good halfway point between the ranks. While not many people get there yes. It is the half way point between actual skill level of ranks.

Maybe instead of making all of your Champ QQ threads you learn how to fight balanced champions so that ACTUAL problems get more looked at.

The fact that a thank you riot post gets this much criticism is downright disgusting. If you don't like the game or company then just leave.

plat is a decent place to balance from therefore d1 players have to get to plat to get a good balance

balancing to diamond means bronze have to get there to get "DECENT" balance. balancing to bronze means everything above bronze is a shitshow. This argument just doesnt work. No one will be happy no matter where you balance.

The difference is you balance above bronze is so that many issue that are problems because the players are just meh, no longer are problems. And some of those even get fixed.

There is no place you can set as your balance window that will be good, so Riot picks the halfway point in skill level.

That and im sick of people going "BRONZE IS HELL NOTHING IS BALANCED WHY DOES RIOT BALANCED TO PLAT" Like its always the end of the world in bronze, in all honesty balancing depending on ranks doesnt change that much. People overdramatize EVERYTHING in balance.

Ahristocats1 votes

bronze getting to diamond is possible if you get good, and getting good exists IRL getting trash to get from d1 to plat is impossible unless you smurf and smurfing is sure not fun because i don't want to spend time making new accounts and i don't want to play against trash players

Then don't complain about balance "in your rank" if you are above average. Complain about balance issues over ALL ranks. Just cause a champ is stronger in your rank, and not a problem in any other rank its a waste of time to balance them. You are already way above average. I would assume you would have learned how to not complain about pointless things if you are that high up.

Ahristocats1 votes

Yes i won't complain about Sona being unplayable in d1 while being overpowered in plat

lul ok my bad son totally my bad

Skorch2 votes

Are you proposing making sona good in d1 and god tier below that? different champs are different in different ranks, its just how it works.

Its not sona being weak, its people at that rank knowing how to fight her. If you buff her she will be too much of a problem every other rank
