I Absolutely Hate Having to KS as Thresh for S

Mastery 6 Thresh here because I just have so much fun playing him when I am support and the only time I get S or higher is for games in which I last hit enemy champions repeatedly.

I don't even mean to. I loath killing enemy champions as Thresh when it is my team's job to do so...not MINE!

Thresh deals so little damage that it baffles my allies and me alike when I end a game with 8+ kills.

And don't try telling me that assists count as kills for support because they don't. I've gone 0/0/20+ before and still A+.

Come on! What is up with that?

IDK the first time I ever played thresh I ksd the first 4 or so kills my adc was going to get with, using his hook and thinking it wouldn't kill.

It was a while back (I have the tokens to get mastery 6 with him but don't really care about it now adays). And yes, they were. After like the 4th one I was met with "Are you fucking kidding me?"

Having the same problem. 2/2/34 the other day, S- I had something like 4/2/27 as well a few days ago and it was also S- I know KDA isn't the only thing that goes into mastery score, and I'm consistently getting good vision scores, okay farm with FOTM, etc.

It does seem that the only way to get S or above on Tresh is to accumulate 6+ kills...

ex support main here and i know your problem and i think i know how to fix it... its probably your cs and that is why i quit play support because its god damn impossible to cs as soraka and even thresh..

if you really want that mastery 7 id suggest playing thresh in any other role than support

Whoooo boy, thanks for reminding about how often I look at the graphs after a game and see my entire team with like no vision score between the four of them XD

You don't have to lol. Riot has already stated that when you are support, assists are coded equal to kills. When you are support, 0/0/20 is counted exactly the same as 20/0/0 toward your grade. It's written right into the code.

Maybe on paper.

Play him, do it.

Get a consistent 20+ assists with a vision score in the dozens.

Then come back and say that.

It just means other threshs are better.

As a blitz main with 0 kills ive gotten S+ more times then i can count.

And i dont even buy wards ^-^

I don't play Thresh but I've gotten S's and S+'s on Janna while 0-2 kills tons of times.

Regardless, it's not a matter of opinion. It's a matter of fact. Your opinion doesn't overwrite the coding magically.

It legit took me 6 or 7 games to get from 5 to 7.

Get your assists higher still by using lantern- use it to shield any skirmish you're walking past. 20 assists on Thresh is a comfortably won game, not an exceptional event.

I think Thresh's KS skill comes from multiple sources. First- from his hook- it's a long range skillshot, so it can reach escaping targets when teammates often can't, and it has good amount of damage, so sometimes you'll try to CC a target (or else they'll escape) and just end up with the kill. Also if you fail to box someone when you hook them, they might willingly kill themselves to you to avoid dying to a carry. Then there's the flay passive auto attack - if you're a Thresh that puts levels into flay to make lasthits go better, you'll do substantial damage to champions too.
