Why even play Kha'Zix?

Why play anymore? He's been nerfed so hard and literally every time he does well he gets nerfed again.

What does he even have?

Duel Power? Assassination ability? Poke? Sustain? All in? Ability to dive?

Let's face it. has mediocre, highly situational damage, almost no CC (wimpy slows), little sustain for jungle, poor laning (isolation nerfs assured that) and requires at least level 11 to be able to all in and get out, while being able to do damage.

Khazix main here. I completely agree that Kha has a terrible sustain early in the jungle. I mained Kha top before jungle, and I do miss that. The isolation changes were done poorly; riot measured isolation as a linear distance rather than an area, which is what it is.

The biggest fallacy I see in your arguement is you point out arguably the best jungle champs at their designated role (plus zed). For example, Pantheon can dive but has no sustain, assassination ability, or poke (etc. for the rest except Nidalee , which needs to be addressed).

So why play Khazix ? After playing the bug for two and a half years, I think I have a good answer. Khazix fulfills a unique role in league that I find fun, exhilarating, and when fed, downright op. Mechanically, no other ad champion is rewarded for risking it all by diving onto an enemy to assassinate, and if done correctly, earning additional kills or an escape. This is what I think makes Khazix fun and it is why I find him very enjoyable to play.

I said diving onto an enemy. Trist has 669 range at 18, she does not need to jump on the enemy's face to kill them.

yeah but hats it :/ i pretty much have mained khazix since I've played, for like a year. And ever since the rework that nerfed literally everything in like 4.10 he has felt so unsatisfying to play.

I feel like you are comparing Kha'Zix to champions that have a completely different playstyle than him. I agree with the assassination champions, and with the nidalee, but it seems like the rest don't even fit the playstyle of Kha'Zix. Overall though, I do agree he is severely outclassed by every other assassin. You don't play Kha'Zix for his sustain and some of the other things you mentioned.
