Tag-ins for AFKs

In normals.

Anyone Leave Buster has tagged gets put up on the queue. (Separated from normal queue). Winning a game where you came in late as a champion in whatever state they were in at the time should yield currency tradable for ward skins, summoner icons, and garbage skins no one wants.

The thing that's great about this is you could queue up for a game in progress if you only have 45 minutes to play. Boom! This games already 15 minutes in! Two Birds. One Stone. Now both birds are dead AND you have a stone. It's normals to have fun.

Criteria: Must be level 30. You're assigned the Masteries and Summoners the person queued with. And hell, throw in a +20LP bonus. Becuase who gives a s**t?

The bad thing about this idea is nothing at all and anyone who says otherwise is a stupid idiot.

so secondary accounts que up and then afk and primary accounts take over the game for free reward farming?

HalcyonDweller1 votes

I would think this could be avoided by not allowing you to choose which game you go into. That would have created plenty of problems on its own as well.

wouldn't matter if there is enough players causing afkers just to get someone into the free reward program they will do it. if they keep the demand high for fill ins the supply will always follow that. just knowing they can log in que up afk then on personal acc hopefully they find a fill in game.

this is a problem in gw2 for raids and dungeons

What if they used some behind the scenes IP tracking to notice if an account signed in from the same computer after the afk account disconnected?

Mizuki Zahra1 votes

so kid A ques up into game at internet café gets dragged outside like a united passenger and kid B uses that same computer

this would cause kid B to get punished for playing

HalcyonDweller1 votes

So... rather than apply punishment why not just disable Tag-In queue for that computer? Prevents unjust punishments, and also prevents the system from being taken advantage of.

Mizuki Zahra1 votes

and deny those who can't afford a home/personal computer the ability to partake in a reward system?

HalcyonDweller1 votes

Its purpose is to remove the problem of AFKs. The rewards are just incentive to participate.

Alternatively maybe it doesn't need rewards. Having no queue time might be worthwhile enough.

It works for fps type games but moves have playstyles let's say sup is afking and being subbed in and the adc is passive and the new supp comes in that has an aggro style....gg feeding sup bot gone

HalcyonDweller1 votes

You get the same problem in normal matchmaking too, players who try to force their playstyle on their teammates. That's not the game or matchmaking's fault, it is up to the players to communicate and work together effectively.

I think this is a bit of an exaggeration. You're tlaking about someone genuinely trying to exploit normals?

You wouldn't get to pick the game you go into just like you don't get to pick any other game you go into.

HalcyonDweller2 votes

I agree, I do not think it is all that exploitable. But I'll humor the argument and do my best to disprove it so that the original idea holds up.

You're a good man, Halcyon.

HalcyonDweller1 votes

Umm... I liked your idea and then you said this:

and anyone who says otherwise is a stupid idiot.

It's a shame bruh, I would have even upvoted you.

Mizuki Zahra1 votes

ya same I like it but it has its problems but good beginner concept, then that last line was just agree with me or gtfo cause im god type of sentence thus discrediting his entire post to a pile of post boom teemo shrooms

RookPusher1 votes

Boy, you guys are great with jokes huh?

Frankly, I expected all of GD to downvote all concepts like this because of "exploitation" so I made it tongue-in-cheek.

Relax, fellas. It's only life.

HalcyonDweller2 votes

It did not come across as humorous, only as salty.

If you're going to say something so easily misconstrued you ought to add the token 'kappa' to the end of it otherwise people are bound to misunderstand you.

RookPusher1 votes

Fair enough, but so you see where I'm coming from: I've posted this plenty of times and the same answer always comes up. "Too easily exploited."

Also, the Kappa thing seems like a phrase I'm too old to use. I would have assumed "Stupid idiot" - on an OP - would indicate it was a joke, seeing as it's openly hostile for no real reason.

HalcyonDweller1 votes

I see where you're coming from. People are quick to judge and don't want to put the effort into standing up for their opinion. It's easier to say, "too easily exploitable," leave a downvote, and never look back. The thing is, they are a lot more likely to do that if you set them up to be angry at you.

People often read stuff as its written with little thought or evaluation as to some tone hidden behind the writing. It's too difficult to convey tones through text like that. So the problem is that people would just see it as open hostility.

It might have better served your purpose to say, "If you think this is easily exploited then explain how so we can discuss it." It would have sparked discussion and not put the reader off before even discussing.

ya that wasn't a joke at all it was offensive, its you stating that you are the only correct person in the world.

knock knock jokes are funny you are not

That was unnecessary. You made your point plenty well with the first part:

ya that wasn't a joke at all it was offensive, its you stating that you are the only correct person in the world.
