Daily reminder that Annie is overpowered.

Her only "weakness" is her low range, but 625 range on AA, Q, and W do not seem low to me. AOE, burst, Hard CC, Hard engage, ability to zone with stun proc.

Hard for me to see how she is weak.

Put a lux in lane against her and Annie won't be able to hit her.

Liss wins lane against Zed, that must mean Zed isn't strong.

Every champion has a counter. People don't pick to counter their opponents, and then complain when they can't do anything. Zed is strong, and so is Lissandra, but if you pick someone who is weak to Zed it has nothing to do with his strength and everything to do with your bad pick.

That was my exact point to Jenova's response.

On a different note, Zed actually is really strong lol.

Liss got wacked with the nerf bat a little to hard when the mana changes rolled in. When (If) She gets fixed, She will be strong. The only reason liss "Counters" Zed is because she can negate his ult with hers. Otherwise she's fucked in lane because of insane mana issues while zed spams all day.

Or Or OR We could just take what I said out of context in attempts to start an argument.

Yea, I could do that...but I didn't.

her q has significantly shorter range then her aa, and her W less then that. She's still a squishy mage, and if she does build defense, she loses more burst.

Dedrius1 votes

They are both 625.

You play a lot of melee mids don't you? that's who Annie counters. She's countered by long range mid laners (ie: Xerath Syndra Lux ).

Dedrius1 votes

When she picks after me I don't really have a choice to counter her, and syndra and lux are unplayable so they are not counters.

Zazusha1 votes

Then your issue is with Draft not with annie. the most notorious issue with draft is people first picking Mid. You'r just asking to be counter picked. You can always pick a safe mid or potential top pick. Lane swap on counter pick, or just confuse the enemy by thinking ur doing Vlad top, only to go mid with him or something.

I haven't found a single champion that is truly "unplayable". Lux is definitely a tricky one to excel on, but properly played she can handle midlane. She won't carry the team in the late stages, but that's why LoL is a team game. Syndra is reportedly one of the toughest champions to use well, but just yesterday I went to LOLking and looked at the records of the top people maining her. There is a diamond player who is 26/14 with her in season 5. She's not unplayable, just difficult and takes time to learn to use well.

Learn more about the champions and you'll find that there are no perfect champs or perfect counters. How well you play a particular champion makes the biggest difference. Decide to excel with one, practice up to that level and you'll soon find that you don't worry so much about Annie having a stun because you know you can bait it out of her and then all-in while she is casting to reset it.

You're planning on doing this daily? That's spamming you know.

It seems that Annie and Riven get almost daily posts about how OP they are. I've never seen either of them dominate games, but if I believed posters like this one Annie would be going 40/0/20 every game and the people playing her would never lose, and we all know that is false.

It seems there are champions that others don't want to learn how to stand up to, and Annie is one of those. I rarely see any real complaint other than "she can hold a stun in reserve, I'm scared!" Which is more an observation about the person saying that then Annie's power.

I was actually trying to get him to say he wasn't going to do it daily. Then I would respond with "well if you're going to lie about it I see no reason to believe the rest of your post", but I like your far more constructive reply a whole lot better.

it is more than an observation because it is part of her kit that makes her strong. Level 6 she can proc stun and zone you because she can burst you 100-0 unless you build negatron and even with it she can still force you back.

Most champs see a big spike at level 6. Annie gets a bigger one in part because the rest of her kit is extremely weak in comparison. She is a burst/DPS assassin mage. She doesn't have that label, but with Tibbers that's basically how most people play her. You farm as much as you can, and once you are level 6 you look for opportunities to stun/burst with a summon of Tibbers.

It's extremely predictable and not that hard to defeat. Annie is extremely squishy. Sure if you fight her 1v1 she can squash most people, but any well played team will kill her early in any team fight if at all possible. Annie gets the choice of putting more power into Tibbers or building to survive all-ins against her. Most don't have the defense to take any burst assassination attack.

Like I suggested to the other poster (Fizz) - play Annie. She's not as powerful as you think, and the stun you all seem to panic over is a very situational tool. You'll find that keeping it up is a huge reason you can stay alive, as most people won't dive you because of it. Without it Annie would die so many times before reaching level 6 that her teammates would claim she was "feeding".

agreed annie is broken as fuck

She should not be able to have her stun up infinitely. So dumb.

I keep seeing this and I just don't get it. You are forgetting the most important part of her keeping stun up. If its up, the next offensive spell she casts will stun. So she can't use her Q or W on ANYTHING without losing the stun. It greatly diminishes what she can do to keep it infinitely.

I've played Annie mid, and ran into a Riven. Riven wanted to go all-in on me, so I had to keep a stun around, but I didn't keep it infinitely. I used it to try to set up a jungler gank and later just to allow me to disengage and head back to the turret to recall. It's basically a very short ranged and situational poke/CC. It also is Annie's only real disengage/escape. Sure she can bring up Tibbers, but if she doesn't stun the person she's attacking, she might die before Tibbers can join the fight.

Try playing her and you'll find that the stun isn't as perfect as you think. It's probably one of the most complex parts of Annie's kit as you have to know when to use it in order to have the maximum effect. Otherwise you are a low damage, extremely squishy mage who has a nice roaming "burst/DPS" damage system that you can bring out every 60 seconds or so.
