Why the dragon buff is the dumbest thing to enter LoL for a long time:
8% more damage merely for getting dragon.
What does that mean? Your base damage gets an additional 8%, giving you bonus damage that now starts adding in to abilities (Katarina, Olaf, etc.) Champions without AD ratios have been indirectly nerfed in Season 5. All AD scaling abilities have now gained 8+ damage simply because they're really special. Then every auto does 8% more, got more attack speed? More damage. Build damage? More damage! Have crit? Even more damage!
8% more AP merely for getting dragon.
... Well 8% more AP. You might deal an additional 20 damage on your ability by the end of the game after you've stacked on all your effects. Lets go back to the AD party! Lets not talk about tanks, they can go die in melee hell.
Not only does the buff blatantly snowball the game, but it blatantly favors a certain champion type, disfavors another champion type, and is outright biased against a third champion type. It also gives you faster further dragons/barons, faster pushing, makes it easier to CS, faster towers, faster jungle camps, faster crab kills, etc.
Want my suggestion? If you want to continue down the completely idiotic path that is getting more damagecreep in LoL how about doing it in a way that doesn't favor and disfavor some champions? Just make the first dragon buff 5% more damage to champions. Not more pushing power, not more objective power, just 5% more damage to champions across all abilities (including true damage even.) Make it equal for everyone. If Lucian gets to do bigger crits then Kog'Maw gets bigger magic damage blasts and BotRK procs, and Singed gets more poison and thornmail and Liandry's, and etc. Everyone gets the same 5%, no matter how you scale.
) to make it a lot harder to do really early.
Then this will blow your mind.
