Here goes the fake ignorant here.
Not sure what this means. If the implication is that I am being obtuse then you are mistaken. I read your post very carefully and feel that I rather accurately, albeit flippantly, summarized the gist of it.
don't try to act deaf.
This is a text based medium, perhaps the sense that you were looking for here was "blind". If I were acting deaf you wouldn't know it, but if I were claiming I didn't see what you wrote then I would be "acting" or at least hinting at the possibility of being "blind". Interestingly enough I am legally blind (just thought I'd mention that).
I'm not saying trying to win is bad, I'm saying that trying to win at all cost in a fun mode IS bad.
I don't know the difference between "trying to win" and "trying to win at all costs"... unless the "at all costs" means cheating of some kind, which I would agree is bad... but that doesn't have any relevance to this conversation nor does it pertain to the game mode discussion.
Also, you are placing a value on a certain game mode that others may not share. For instance, you call Poro King a "fun" game mode, that's the value you place on it, but maybe I place a different value upon it... maybe I think all game modes are ostensibly the same in that the goal is to win. Simply because I don't value them the same way that you do doesn't make me the bad guy.
Poro King only comes once a year,
I never actually write "LOL" to a response, but this actually did make me laugh out loud. Poro King has been the most repeated game mode during 2017. If my count is correct it has occurred on 18 weekends this year... I'll have to go back and count again, but I believe that's correct.
and people can't seem to even try to have fun (once again, don't start with the "people have fun by winning". If playing Yorick and having more damage to objectives than champions is fun to you, or playing Janna and being 0/1/489456489641584 or some bs like this, literally doing nothing else than pressing E on someone, and sometimes Q to waveclear, please teach me, because I think I'd really enjoy the game even more. Even worse, last game our first tower almost fell at 1:30 (only a few hp left) after the first enemy ace.
Once again, people place different values on "fun" as it is a highly ambiguous/arbitrary meaning.
"Sorry guys, I wanted to play Lux, but a guy named Dead Flag Blues has outlined rules against what champs I am allowed to play for fun in an online video game".
So, do tell, what am I allowed to play? What champs? What masteries? If my team starts to win, should I give the opponent two minutes to catch up? What are the rules in your almighty world that would make it so that you are having fun?
I reaffirm my statement that this generation of gamers is so soft that I wish my pillows were made from their bones.
