Why does Gangplanks Q crit but not Miss Fortunes?

they are both too similar imo, starting with low cooldown point-click Qs that apply on hit effects. the main difference is miff fortune can hit a second target directly behind the first, but neither can critically strike.

most of the time MFs Q only hits 1 target, and even if it hits another target, its not very much damage. on the other hand, gangplanks Q does significantly more base damage, and scales better with ad, plus it can crit...

Ok I get that mf has longer basic attack range, but its really not worth being in range for because she can easily be focused or cc, and once that happens shes going to get blown up because she has nothing to peel herself like a dash, snare or spellshield, where as gangplank can easily remove any crowd control, heal himself for a huge chunk of health and pop a speed boost that doesnt disappear in combat... making the melee GP safer than ranged miss fortune.

to top it off, they have similar aoe ults but gangplanks is better because its global, easier to aim, and slows enemies hit by it.

imo miss fortunes Q should be able to crit or have higher base and ad scaling.

You literally said it yourself.

As far as I know that target is also dealt 120% damage, giving MF's Q crit chance would be broken as shit. Not only that, but she's ranged. GP is melee.

You can get tri force . how ever gps q counts as a melee as much as thresh attacks count as range

So... Exactly how they should, since parrley is treated as a melee attack (as GPs range is 125) and thresh is treated as a ranged attack?

Really a ranged basic attack hmm his q counts as melee and procs ravenous hydra and thresh can get runaans

Yes. the difference between melee and range is: 125-175 = melee. 375-650 = ranged

Kayle, for example, cannot proc runaans without E active, She cannot proc hydra with E active.

That last part... wat?

Yes thresh basic attacks count as range even though he is using a chain lol so you get runaans on him

Mf has a gangplank q. It's called her auto attacks.

The ability for the base damage of an attack to Crit provides a HUGE well of potential power.

If MF's Q could Crit she would probably require heavy nerfs elsewhere.

You mean she would be up to par with other adcs

No she would be overpowered Imagine gangplank except one shotting 2 people with Q instead of one while also being ranged and having more than one other offensive ability with only less utility. It would be broken as shit.

Because they're different champions.

A Miss Fortune1 votes

Miss Fortune already does insane damage, and she has above average damage for an ADC and an above average win rate (she maintained this winrate forever and it never changes mind you, almost always being 51.75% - 52%). Miss Fortune's Q does retarded damage, especially if you bounce it. It gives her an auto attack reset on a 3 second cooldown AND it also does damage so it's basically 3 auto attacks in less than one second at level 1.

If you're trying to excuse giving Miss Fortune more damage with the fact she has no self peel, that's like saying "We should give Kog'Maw even more late game damage, because he has nothing but a slow as his escape.". It would be overpowered and immediately nerfed.
