We need a new ranked system

Having a black and white L or W as the only determinate factor of your rank is not optimal for anyone. There are so many factors outside our control when playing Solo Q, that for this system to be an accurate representation of your skill it would take a sample size of a few thousand games at least. No one has time for that. We need a system that takes into account how well you did based on your role and objectives taken and defended (I'm not saying K/D/A.) I would say that a good 30% of my games we can win but the team refuses to play smart or is on tilt and wants to lose faster because we won't ff. I'm not saying that LP loss or gain should be greatly affected by your K/D, but when I have a 2.5 K/D 80% of games but only win 53% of them, something is wrong. Here come the people saying that "if you were doing well you could have helped other lanes or turrets and won." Sorry but if your 2 other lanes lose and jungler feeds then there is almost nothing you can do by yourself to win, and if there was the game would be unbalanced. The same people would reply, "you actually have a better than 50% chance of having better players on your team." A quarter has a 50/50 chance of landing on heads but if you drop a quarter 100 times a lot of times it will come out 60/40. The real world does not happen according to statistical probability; a lot of people may have bad luck and be stuck with worse players 60% of the time. Say these people would win 55% of their games if everyone else's skill was even every game like people pretend it should be because of mathematical theory. But, because they have bad luck and 60% of the time they get bad teammates, they have a 45% win rate and go down the ladder when they should be going up if their skill was as important as it should be in a ranked system. The probability of having average teammates gets closer to 50% the more games you play, but to really approach that you would have to play a few thousand games. The reason this system relies so much on the luck of your teammates is because it is; 1. a 5v5 game with 4 teammates who you cannot control and half the time will only flame you for trying to give them guidance like "guard towers when were down instead of 1v5ing in the middle of the map". 2. The current ranked system only measures 1 thing: a win or a loss, when in fact there are many factors that go into it. Now, depending on your role it is different but lets just say everyone on a team has a 20% effect on the outcome. This means that your rank, what is supposed to be an indicator of your skill, is only 20% decided by your skill and 80% decided by random people you may never play with again, and here in lies the problem.

The only truly fair and balanced ranked system would be to have a panel of qualified judges rate all 10 players' performance at the end of each game, and hand out LP on a player-by-player basis.

Of course this is astronomically impractical.

Don't be obtuse, you know full well what he means. Gnar

His post was poorly formatted and unkind to look at, so I only read the first few sentences.

First 4 sentences, nope, your wanting this game to be based of individual play first and team second. I you went 50/2 as Kay but didn't win? Then your a bad player that couldn't close out a game and don't deserve the W.
