@Riot Is this really a good way to make Zed competitevily relevant?

So it is quite clear that Zed ult changes are aimed at pushing him into competitive scene as a counter to Jhin - it is no secret that Zed has huge fanboybase that is really disappointed with his lack of meaningful presence at high levels of play, nor it is a secret that Jhin is a broken champion in dire need of actual counters (at least in pro play).

Question is: do we really want to change Zed's image from "a champion with extreme potential for mechanical outplay" to "a champion who gets unfair amount of stats in certain matchup"?

Zed's already pretty much a hard counter (then again, as it most assassins). This is probably going to solidify Zed as the anti-Jhin assassin though.

Makes sense lore-wise too, considering the story of the two + Shen.

Youre acting like zed is going to get 100% of his kills AD

Amount he can get get from Jhin is enough to consider Zed a hard counter. It can well be more than item-worth of AD.

That's only if Jhin is ahead though.

Zed's ult I believe only gets AD if it kills the strongest enemy target. By the strongest I assume they mean has the best KDA or something. So that means he'd only get AD from killing a mage with his ult if they are the strongest.

You assume wrong. "Strongest" actually means "with the highest AD" for PBE Zed.

Ah. Well that is a problem.

why so bad tho1 votes

once people find out he can jungle pretty well with the right runes and masteries and jungle playstyle( cough he was primarily designed as a jg champion) maybe he'll become top tier again). im personally a crappy zed and find safety in the jungle and do quite well overall.
