Would you ever release a champion with 3 abilities and not 4? I don't see how this is even remotely arguable... In a solo lane morde cannot target / activate his W at all! How is this any different than releasing a champion with 2 abilities and an ult and saying "no, you dont seem to understand how strong those two abilities are!" this is just plain dumb.

you can only deliver the pain if your team mates are up to the task and if not you become useless just like any other adc.
honestly i applaud their daring atempt. nothing will happen if you don't take a risk and they took it. with one fell swoop they will break 2 things.
the ongoing circle of never being able to buff champions like morde. and the frikkin META itself of having ALWAYS an adc in the botlane. this change for better or worse in the weeks to come after this release will usher in a new era that the ancient players of LoL have always wanted.

the freedom to create our own meta. one that has been enforced to us for a very long time due how items and champions have been balanced out you might think they have no clue what they are doing, the scary part is that they knew it all along they just laid the tracks of the direction of this game the way they wanted. over the years ive seen the patterns laid out before us it was always the same circle.
they made the first steps in breaking that circle. this is what you would call for the greater good.

If you think the meta will shift because of one obscure champion and his godawful rework, let me remind you with some pictures what happens when champions combined stupid high pick rates with above average performance,

irelia back in her glory days went to any lane against any champion and would win there were no counters to her rape train period stop complaining about her getting nerfed. eve .... does well honestly right now definitely. olaf? needs a lot of work i agree with you on that
the new morde will have hard counter's and can basically only be used against imobile adc's like draven and ashe against kalista? touch matchup for him for sure.

Naader1 votesThere is no hard counter to getting outleveled. Eventually, even if they bully him super early, he will hit 6 when the enemy gets close to 5. bully him all you want, the shield and sustain from w is more than enough to shove the lane harder than the enemy can reply to. You automatically assume morde has to fight for some stupid reason. He is not a fighter, even now, his strengths lie in shoving the shit out of a lane and farming everything around him till scaling lets him duke it out with anyone who thinks they can stop him.

Shonjl1 votesYou make it sound like there won't be Ranged Adcs still once he is out. I highly doubt he will last, he will be fotm when he gets released then forever disappear. Doesn't matter how much damage he has if he can never reach the enemy. And ranged adc will always be superior, why do you think its literally been that way forever? Sure you could ADC with say Talon, Yi, Yasuo, but they rarely go bot since sure they can win, but not often enough to be risking it.
