Abyssal Mask is being changed on the PBE from having Spectre's Cowl in its recipe to having Catalyst in its recipe, with its stats changing accordingly.
What is the purpose of this change? Is it supposed to ruin the item for champs that build it with RoA/GLP or is it to improve on the Abyssal Mask rush build for Galio? What's the point?
The point is to give champs a defensive option for the Eternity passive. Righteous Glory is losing it, so Abyssal Mask is picking it up.
The item still has health, MR, and the damage amp passive. It's probably better for RoA players actually because if you're building RoA it means you want mana.
Yeah honestly the change is unwanted and does nothing but make it more niche than it already is.
Doran's ring nerfed so stacking isn't as good. New mask helps with sustain issues for tanks.
