Artbook Feedback

I'm beyond impressed by the Art Book. I honestly cannot describe how excited I was to read the Art Book. Ekko's and MF's pages have as much art as I wish was for every champion. The art for Summoner's Rift was incredibly detailed.

MF's art reflects who she should be, instead of how she is currently portrayed. I looked through her page and found myself thinking "that's Miss Fortune. That's more Miss Fortune than who she is in the game by leaps and bounds." The art and story board brought her to life more than I've ever seen before, and I desperately want more. She could be a more fully realized champion with character, instead of 'sexual pirate.'

Ekko's page showed off a good chunk of the art I'd already seen, and I was happy to see more. I found the description for Zaun fascinating; > "Zaun - a place where the clever test their bravery and limits in the name of what could be possible" That's a Zaun I'd like to see.

Besides the new Annie, Vi, and Braum art; I found myself wanting more from many of the champion pages. After the larger pages ones like Singed's felt short. It was good seeing any new art, and I always want to see more.

The art for SR was stunning. All of the detail and depth and time that was put into the map showed through and was breathtaking. I reminded me of when the map was first updated, and I spent so long in a custom game just looking around by myself. The time put into the map was well worth it.

Really I was blown away by the art book. It's beyond impressive and I'm definitely buying it. It really did make me want to see more development out of every champion and to see older champions brought up to speed. Please, give Miss Fortune and VU and new VO, make her a character with character.

Aatrox is massive. I figured rito completely forgot about him. Atleast we got a cool picture of him...

I enjoyed it, but found myself wishing we had more insight on how the art has evolved. I feel like Sion would have been a good example - talk about his old look, and how his character's look evolved during the rework. What needed to be changed and why? I feel like this was a missed opportunity to talk about some of the artistic changes that happened as league grew - the evolution of the visual aspect of the game. Not enough time was spent talking about League's roots, the original vision and how the game's art has grown from there.

Don't get me wrong, this is still really great, I just wish it had been a bit more chronological in discussing the art.

Vi's concept art was my favorite out of the entire thing. The creativity that went behind her arms + mechanics to be a punching bruiser was quite genius. Hell even Riot seems to feel the same- using Vi's concept art face as their Facebook picture lol. Vi

WHAT WHERE WHEN

it was interesting but I can't help but feel it falls short on many things.

First simply too short, you have sooo many characters, this barely scratches the surface of anything.

My first thought opening it up was, 'cool I'm stoked that some of my favorite artist get to have their name with the champion they worked on' ...oh, there's no credits...anywhere? thats kinda fuked up honestly.

too much space for stuff we've already seen and everyone has on their desktops, the splash arts. I was hoping to see much more of the concept and other work that hadn't been shown.

Its a fun book for sure, but kinda a let down and just another thing to sell in the store.

1 2 3 4 I think (2) should be rengar Splash Art. It suits him much better. Currently (4) is OK but (2) is just brutal
