Where do you get the idea that Nunu hates everything about this season? Maybe you're the delusional one. Guardian is one of the best things to ever happen to Nunu, the synergy with his W is insane. I've had situations where this rune has saved somebody's life just because I could press w on them in time and block that 1 tick of damage. Old Nunu wouldn't have been able to do that. You argue that he's useless? Maybe you're just playing him wrong, he seems pretty useful in my games. He can secure dragon safely very early on into the game, he has one of the best counter jungles in the game, and once he hits six, the enemy bot lane is as good as dead. Nunu is by far my favorite champion in the game, and the moment that riot starts trying to 'experiment with his kit' and 'add additional effects and abilities' is the moment I shed tears of sorrow.
Basically, I don't agree with your argument because in my experience he doesn't suffer from anything you point out here. Sure, the buff was virtually pointless, but you're assuming he needed one in the first place. Also, when you start saying stuff like 'make him more like X champion', take into consideration that every champion in the game should have their own unique play style that doesn't really feel like another champion's. If riot decided to add 'additional effects' to Nunu to make him play more like Ivern, then why would I want to play Nunu in the first place? Why wouldn't I just go play Ivern himself rather than his mediocre doppelgänger? For the most part, riot has done a good job of maintaining originality and individuality throughout their roster, and I hope it stays that way.
