Did riot scrap loss prevented?

I remember when they would do small/large live patches and people in game would either dc or hit a massive lag spike resulting in loss prevention. Why can't this system include leavers? There's literally no reason why 4 people should be punished and 5 rewarded and basically being told, "good job, you beat a team with a handicap". The best way I can get the point across is, imagine a lcs game with 2 teams on stage and then the adc just literally stands up and decides he doesnt feel like playing and dips out. Riot would compensate both teams in some way to where they dont feel cheated. Why can't we implement this into ranked due to the amount of leavers/afkers/dc's in lower elo? I know I sound salty but it's just too many games in a row now...lol

Because someone in a premade simply leaves, giving the rest of their premade a 100% win rate.

See the problem? Especially when they start using smurf/throwaways to leave games.

Aside from that, there's a potential abuse case that could lead to toxicity. Creating a chance to get a loss prevented by simply flaming someone until the feel like leaving.

Riot really only uses loss prevented if the issue is on their end. A 3rd party DCing for reasons not directly related to Riot's servers, is beyond their scope.

Someone in a premade could also always deny a surrender vote with his duo partner, making surrender irrelevant/impossible

better take that out too.

And that has exactly how much to do with cheating to give yourself a 100% win rate and free ride to diamond?

To say nothing of the fact a non-premade group can also do this?

No they'll still turn on Loss Prevented when there are server-wide issues. I remember a few weeks ago they turned it on when I was in a Garen game in my first ranked game of the season. I won but got half the MMR.
