Honestly Pyke doesn’t really do anything new...
The champ kit looks fun, but there isn’t really anything new here. Just a bunch of variations on skills that are already in the game.
I’m a little disappointed tbh.

since when did every champion have to do something new? over 130 champions dude, chill
He does something new. He can give full gold and credit to others, who else does that?
I would argue that his Phantom Undertow and Death From Below are fairly new.
his dash looks like a delayed
dash to me, except they attached his Q's slow mechanic.
Death from below is more or less Noxian Riftwalk, Darius's ult + Kassadin's aoe dash
Yeah the bounty thing is definetly new and cool, period
His passive looks like a mix of Tahm's grey health mechanic and Khazix's passive stealth damage thing.
Why does he have to do something new (even though he does)? He provides a very unique and refreshing take on the support role. Yes his abilities may be somewhat similar to those of other champions, but supports won't be playing those champions anyway.
I kinda expected more as well, because in a AskRiot (..I think it was there) post, they said they were going to slow down the process of making champions because they want each of them to "break bounderies", this is just recycling.
Besides giving allies kill gold for his executes... also a camouflage support. His E is also a new mechanic.
Literally what people said about Jhin, but turned out to be one of the most fun releases.
I largely agree, while I like Pyke's E and delayed dash effect, the rest of his gameplay is stuff we've seen already before. Hooks in particular are fairly overdone at this point, his innate regen is Tahm Kench's E, his camouflage is a stripped-down version of what we've seen on Twitch and Rengar, and his ult is a variation of Darius's, with a bit of gold-sharing added on for the sake of him going support. Darius himself already has a hook and an execute ult, so even when discussing combinations of different effects, there are some parallels. The most novel aspect of him is that he's an assassin going support, but even that's been done in a fairly shallow and artificial manner, with little in his kit that is has him interact with his team for their sake.
Variations? I feel like all of the new abilities are pretty new aside from the camo thing lol
