RIOT PLEASE CONSIDER!!! Placement Matches Next Year!

So in my opinion, the 2015 placement matches were very unfair to Bronze and Silver players. If you were in your 2nd year, you probably know what I'm talking about. It seemed like if you broke even at 5-5, you were dropped a full tier below your previous year's rank.

My friend who just started this year goes 2-8 and gets Bronze 1, then "walks" into Silver.

Meanwhile I go 5-5, but because it is my second year, I am put in Bronze 5, since 5-5 drops you a full tier, and I finished Bronze 2 last year.

No I am not saying Riot should just forget the previous year completely, but please be more fair. I mean, why work hard and go 9-1 or 7-3 and get Bronze 5?

Recently had a friend go 2-8 in his first year and get Bronze 1. He stayed there, then went 9-1 this year and got... Bronze 5. The placements should look more like this.

0-10: Wood 5 (kidding, drop full tier from prev rank) 1-9: drop 3-4 divisions 2-8: drop 1-2 divisions 3-7: your previous year's rank 4-6: +1 division or same as last year's 5-5: +2-3 divisions 6-4: +3-4 divisions 7-3: +full tier 8-2: +full tier and division 9-1: +full tier and 2-3 divisions 10-0: +full tier and 4 divisions or 2 tiers

So if I finished Bronze 3

0-10: Bronze 5 1-9: Bronze 5 2-8: Bronze 4-5 3-7: Bronze 3 4-6: Bronze 2-3 5-5: Silver 5 - Bronze 1 6-4: Silver 4-5 7-3: Silver 3 8-2: Silver 2 9-1: Silver 1 10-0: Gold 3-5

You have only half of the equation, you aren't factoring in MMR.

The system places you in your rank based off a mixture of winning your placements and your last season's MMR. In your case, your MMR was likely shit, and at the moment, still is, thus, you got placed low.

While your friend likely had average MMR, or possibly higher, and thus got placed higher.

That Equation is way to generous. I understand that you should be rewarded for going something like 7-3 in placements, but it shouldn't bring you up a whole tier. But you shouldn't also drop one whole tier for going even.
