Add a 0.25 self stun to every one of a champion's moves without dumpstering them.

Lux item 3070

Oh, and a list of abilities that cost 130+ mana at max rank would be interesting. And short.

It boggles the mind that in the League of Mobility, an immobile skillshot-exclusive bottom-tier survivability squishy mage with relatively low damage and not nearly enough utility to make up for it with self-stuns on every ability gets her MOVESPEED REDUCED. Someone in RIOT'S "BALANCE" DEPARTMENT said "you know what will improve this game? Removing 10 ms from Lux". This was AFTER the resourceless assassins moved into mid lane (but before that same "balance" department decided that the resourceless assassins didn't have enough braindead matchups and so decided a global mana regen nerf followed by a whole bunch more mana regen nerfs would put those pesky mages in their place). RIP IN PIECE 21/0/9

Also it kind of stings to see what I am pretty sure are every other champion's ridiculously overcosted abilities attended to with some degree of promptness (aww, Taric, that's a nasty mana cost, bro! We couldn't leave a champion with a shackle like that. Let us take care of that for you).

That range is worthless if she can't do anything with it. That ult is worthless if she can't put any AP behind it (and, you know, mobility is still a thing). Can't poke, can't waveclear, landing a full combo and actually killing something is harder than ever and the odds of you exploding to their autos in the meantime is high (and if you miss, you afk for a full 10 seconds if not longer). Playing Lux against nearly every common matchup requires you to be spot on 100% perfect at all times against opponents who have so many safety nets they don't believe the ground exists and who can delete you if you make even a single misstep AND EVEN THEN you need to farm up a few items before your damage or utility is good for anything AND EVEN THEN you have to hit the bastards (and doing so becomes harder and less rewarding with every champion released).

When is someone going to bring Lux up to speed with the other champions in this game?

Potential thoughts (pick one, mix and match, do everything, w/e):

-I don't mind Lux being low damage. What I mind is being able to dodge every shuriken and land every singularity and then being oom against an opponent who is at half health at worst and is coming back with a vamp scepter (if not a cutlass because his waveclear is bonkers and also free). I remember something about games not being decided in champ select? Whatever happened to that idea?

-If Lux is going to be as high risk, low reward, immediate burnout as she is right now, make the reward better and CRANK THE DAMAGE. Right now a binding only matters if your entire team is nearby, and the list of champs whose cc isn't better, longer lasting, harder hitting, up more frequently or easier to hit with is VERY short. (In lane you don't even dodge them if you'd miss a cs for it (and you've warded). Why bother? She'll chunk you for maybe 20% and you'll auto her in the face for at least that much, and a month later she'll try again.) Lux's LOOOOOOONG list of potential counterplays is still intact, the only difference with high bases (and good ratios!) on her skills is that YOU fucking up actually means something now.

-Slows need to slow the animations of movement abilities. BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT SLOWS DO. THEY MAKE YOU MOVE SLOWLY. Lucent Singularity is effectively a light black hole (yes). If you can't just walk away from it, why can you jump away from it? This would be an across the board nerf to the League of Mobility and really needs to be the next thing done to curb the ridiculous direction this game is taking.

-If Light Binding is going to be this underwhelming (because it is), make it wider. Like, a lot wider. Maybe even a long, narrow cone (think 3x as wide at the end as it is when she fires it). Still a skillshot, but you stand a chance of landing one now.

-Revert some nerfs and clean up her animations. Give her back her movespeed (and increase it! Light is FAST), get rid of the self-stuns, make her passive worth putting herself in instant death range for (hahaha). Maybe if her auto range was a little longer, people would actually do that. LET ME WALK UP TO THIS RIVEN WHEN I'VE ALREADY CAST LIGHT BINDING THIS WEEK AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS! Or make it do something utility-like. See next point.

-Illumination: It's 2015, and it still doesn't illuminate. It also doesn't give mana back for proper use of it, like a bunch of other mages get to do (even the long range skillshot ones). How about you jack the damage of her passive and make it return 1 mana a second as long as each Illumination is active? Lux is happy when THERE ARE MOAR LIGHTS. E a minion wave (for ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY FUCKING MANA, ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS, THEY DON'T EVEN DIE) and let most of them tick for up to 42 mana back (w/ cannon, probably a lot less in practice), or use your passive to clear but you miss out on some juice. 3 mana per second when champs or large monsters are illuminated. (Mana) problem thematically solved, with a choice players have to make! I'll wait.

Lux needs to be updated to the current gameplay. She should have at least 335 ms, should have her singularity cost reduced by 5- at the very least- and maybe a health boost. She's just getting trashed mid lane, by practically anyone, even non assassins. Hell, I can and HAVE taken nami, sona, and other support/niche mids and beaten her. She needs a little help right now.

Too much salt.

Relative too the entire champion pool, I think she is perfectly balanced. I mean it could be a lot worse, all champions have their own downsides.

Now relative to the most played/banned champions one might say she isn't exactly god tier. However if you buffed all the champions who aren't OP enough for their respective players the game would break in very terrible ways and the game would phase into a whole new level of rage simulation.

I think she sucks. She's just not good at anything. Waveclear, mana costs, reliability, poking, avoiding getting poked, surviving ganks, roaming, pushing, endgame, she's just not good at any of them. And some of them she's actually quite bad at. I guess she could have had good poke if only it didn't waste all of her mana to even attempt it. Oh but they can just shunpo as soon as you try and then you wasted like 25% of your maximum mana since e costs that much. She barely has any advantage considering all of her drawbacks although her combo can be very damaging if she can happen to land it, but lots of champions can do that. I don't really see much reason to pick her right now. Heck I've even done better with most mids I tried for the first time ever than I can do with her, even though I've played her a lot of times.
