I do agree promotions are literally the worst fucking thing about ranked, but you should make your post a bit more formal. They'll never read it otherwise.

I made a post about Riot not responding to people on the boards. If you guys happen to agree with it you're all welcome to say something there, and upvote it.

Giving the problem attention until Riot realizes that they need to communicate with us is probably our best solution.

Chances are getting demoted after 1 game means you are at a vary large decline.

This means you could be silver 3 and facing bronze 4. if you lose against bronze 4 the game thinks you belong lower and will drop you faster.

It also can be said if you are godly good and can skip ranks when climbing. Ive skip ranks many times.

Actually, the reason you got demoted after only one game is that you have an extreemly low mmr. I've lost 4-5 games in a row at 0 lp and not been demoted.

Just got demoted at one game at 0. I literally watched Heroes of Cosplay and cried. I want to be Gold so bad, and I've worked all the time climbing from S5. Yes, it makes me hate this game. Promos suck.

I never understood why they changed the rank system in the first place. One day I logged back into the game after a long break and noticed rank is different. Checked what it means and immediately thought to myself "This is just cosmetic bullshit that doesn't even hint at someones skill." It's literally a bottleneck on both ends to keep people from fluidly transitioning based on skill.

I think promotions/demotions are fine the way they are. I have been playing league for a few seasons now and only been demoted twice, but it took 2 games each time. I have even had some instances where I have lost 4 games at 0 LP and not been demoted so for you to lose 1 game and be demoted...I mean no offense but you must have been playing pretty bad leading up to it.

Failed my promo's 7 times to silver 2. It sucks because it's 90% luck, it just depends on your teammates in those 3 important games. I rarely lose my lane. If the system worked upon a basic MMR calculation, if you do well in all of your games, and win most of them then you would do well. But making everything rest upon 3 or 5 specific games leaves way too much to chance.

They need to fix the gains vs loss of LP at least. At the worst it should make you lose the amount of lp u gained, not more than that.

Ok while I don't think the promotion system is amazing, it does generally a decent job of showing your "mmr" anyways. Hell you could just minus your wins from your losses, multiply by an arbitrary average number (20 for dota, maybe 10 for LoL?) to get your mmr.

Like im at 560 wins 400 losses in Dota 2, I have 5500 mmr, you start 2300. 160 extra wins times 20 mmr avg per win = 3200 difference.

I think you start about 1200 in LoL and seems like roughly +/- 10 average so go ahead and figure out your mmr xD
