I know you tried, but Master Yi is way to strong.

So i went into a blind game, playing evelynn in the jungle no probelm. Vi their jungler and a Master Yi as their mid laner (ours was Diana). Everything is going fine i get 3 kills early (one on Yi) and i thought we were in the clear right? No, Yi roams bot lane had only gotten 1 kill that entire game had maybe 80 farm at 12 minutes, 1v3s myself, twitch and Janna with no problem. What did he have? a Black clever.

Now from then on he proceeded to completely carry the game on his own with just a Black clever and Bloodthurster. Completely deletes Cho'Gath(a tank) 1v5s our entire team no matter what we try to do. Now i don't know but i'm pretty sure you call OP on that because i'v never seen a fed Yi do that, let alone one that hadn't got but 1 kill.

Alright, first of all i'd like to point out that in NO WAY am I saying you are bad, or that master yi is not one of the most annoying and easy champions to play. Because yea, you right click and press r, boom! Pentakill! However, he is not overpowered, nor is he even especially good. The reason he can feel freaking ridiculous is because of his damage output, but to counter this he is incredibly weak to hard cc. He is the perfect example of a glass cannon, yes when he is ahead and able to go into a fight without being knocked up, stunned, rooted, etc, he will stomp the fight. Because of this he is extremely strong at both lower levels and lower elo's, but as soon as you can understand that he gets completely destroyed by hard cc, it is very simple to tell the diana and cho'gath to focus him with their e and q respectively. Once again, im not saying that you had an easy matchup going into that game, your team had very little cc and it was honestly just a perfect game for yi. But I hope you can understand that league is a game of matchups, counters, and ultimately outplays that all coincide to create the diversity between everysingle game. Annnyyyyywaaaayss, extremely long boring talk over, I see your (relatively) new to level 30 and the likes and feel free to friend me, we could play some games together and maybe help you get a head start on your ranked placement matches! (Im silver 3, was S1 last season and really dont play ranked much. Been playing since end of season 3)

The issue i have is that i go into an unranked game to have fun, to play whatever i want to and (hopefully) not have to worry about being counter picked. Or having a better team comp, it doesn't make sense to me why i have to purposely have a team built against 1 person in an unranked match, that's kind of not fun.

I am kind of new, only been playing for 6 months, but i play with my friends who have been playing for a really long time (Silver-Plat most of them) so they helped me. But i don't always play with them and more often than not i play unranked blind pick matches on my own (like in that game) again it just doesn't make sense to have to worry about not having the right team Comp for 1 champion in a blind match. That's kind of stupid.

You don't need to build your team comp completely around him, rather just keep in mind that he exists and use the cc your team already has to deal with him. And.... Part of unranked is getting stomped cause your NOT tryharding ;)

Is this a joke? He's been crazy nerfed. They nerfed his E and his R. His winrate is below 50% right now. I'm guessing your in Bronze or low silver?

Even in low gold, Master Yi is still a problem. They didn't nerf his ult what so ever, they claimed it to be a nerf, but in retrospect, it was a buff. The reset timer is what makes it stupid crazy. And the resistance to slows, and like 50% attack speed, his ult is what ruins master yi, and then he just put on his true damage for the next 5 seconds and kills everyone. and if he has even the slightest bit of crit chance, his q half shots pretty much everyone so.

BlackCleaver is a tank shredder so no wonder cho got owned.

If I'm not wrong, your team lacked CC, cho's silence is not CC. Yi doesn't care for silences. And kinda certain he had bloodlust keystone. That would allow him to fight awesomely well in low health, add to that 20% lifesteal. He will steal the life rapidly when on low health and blackcleaver gives hims enough sticking power.

It is a legit items+keystone combo which lot of ADCs + satan uses. Don't think it's champ rather smart play.

Note: I'm certain he had more than 2 items, like item 3156 item 3053 or more AD.
