I Dodged Even Though Someone Offered to Trade Roles

Auto Fill is meant to shorten wait times for games.

Well, I'm still boycotting that nonsense by dodging whenever I am filled. Regardless if someone offers to trade me.

Go ahead, down vote me. But to be filled just because I have to wait an extra 30 seconds to get my role or because someone dodged. Or because three times in a row someone clicked decline or didn't click accept is ridiculous.

I've read that some players are willing to eat a 45+ minute dodge penalty because of fill.

If Riot wants to wait another year or two to cater to its player base and remove fill for healthier compositions in which the support WANTS to support, the ADC WANTS to ADC, etc. then so be it.

I WANT to make others wait longer to get in game if I end up filled. I want the fill system to fail and I am willing to help make that happen even if someone offers me my preferred role. Because I despise the fill system that much.

The games already last 20+ minutes. We shoulddn't be expected to suffer a role we dislike for that amount of time all because the alternative means waiting a few extra minutes for a team.

As a support main I hate when I get anything but support.... and then i get JG as someone complains they got autofilled support then if they can't jungle I am stuck jungling as they whine and feed. [zombie-brand-mindblown]

I'm all for you boycotting something you disagree with, even if that causes some problems for you.

What made you lose me was when you said you wanted wait times to be higher for other people. Your intent changed, and it became more about harming others than it was standing up for your point of view. Intent matters here, and that is why you got my downvote, because I don't think your heart is in the right place on this.

Yeah about 5 seconds longer. As soon as someone dodges, 9 times out of 10 another queue will instantly pop.

I always decline if someone dodges and it pops again instantly. Those are some of the only times I get filled.

agreed for starters there should be atleast a 10 min wait in q before autofill even goes on and that can give palyers the option to leave q and start over t avoid fill

Autofill is there out of necessity of a role-based queue, really.

After all, here on OCE, before the implementation of autofill it actually happened that people were sometimes able to finish a 2hr movie before finding a match. And they were iirc in bronze, so it's not like they were challenger getting stuck at finding matches or anything.

When you remove autofill, even on the most populated servers like NA or whatever it's still be at least an upward extra waiting time of several minutes, and ofc, those number eventually add up. And at some time in time, "death spiral" would happen, where people are less and less inclined to play due to the extra queue eating away their time, which would result in longer and longer wait period, and subsequently less and less people playing, and cycle repeats. What happened at OCE is an extreme end-point that probably would never appear in NA until the game itself is officially dead, but you will still be expecting more than just extra couple seconds of queue waiting if autofill were to go.

Also, get your asses around playing other stuff adequately. It really isn't that hard.

It's 1 thing to specialise, it's another to overly specialise and make you highly inflexible.

That said, I do find the fact that people declining and dodging doesn't freeze the autofill process kind of off.

It should count as 1 session, and until you've got a successful queue that actually end up in a game, it shouldn't go off on its own.

people can't even play the one role they main so lets let them pick a secondary role and maybe just give them w/e, sounds good - meddler the janna picker
