This is it guys. With the Irelia nerfs on PBE this is the last viable bruiser being nerfed from S2.

Since Season 2 Riot has been systematically destroying all competitively viable bruisers from S2: Yorick, Garen, Gangplank, Jax, Warwick, Wukong, Xin Zhao, Udyr, Skarner, Shyvana, Renekton, Nasus, Olaf, Dr. Mundo, Cho'gath, Malphite, Shen, Singed, Tankgar, Kha'Zix.

With Irelia being nerfed this is the last bruiser from season 2 that is viable leaving the competitive scene.

I've been playing since S2 and I've been waiting for this moment since Jax got obliterated. The fighter rework never happened, and instead Riot has just been picking off bruisers left and right for the past 3 seasons. After this all that will remain will be Jarvan (though Jarvan was not technically viable top in S2 so I don't count him.)

I don't play Irelia. I consider Irelia a free win, as does everybody who knows what they're doing top lane. She's so easy to shut down in lane with any meta tier champion.

Deleting squishies doesn't sound like a "bruiser" play pattern to me.

Unless I'm mistaken and the definition went from tanky damage dealer to tanky assassin.

that nerf isnt that big and its not gamebreaking as you try to paint it you wont even notice while laning, lategame 40 dmg is nothing :)

Irelia is toxic to play against, these nerfs really aren't that bad at all. She'll still be strong and you still won't be able to fight her past level 9 unless you wanna get your ass kicked.
