Stop Ganking the Tank

I don't care if that lane is behind, that tank isn't going to die anytime soon. Help the lanes that have enemies that can die quick. That way, the lane can be pushed and you can get back to your farm. Guess where the squishy guys live? Usually in mid and bot. Guess what lanes you should gank? If you answered, 'anywhere but top' YOU ARE CORRECT! Making top lane feel good about that one time you helped kill the tank isn't worth losing the entire game. If the enemy top is tank, don't bother. If the enemy top is squish then, by all means, dig in!

Sincerely, someone who plays top and jungle.

Rammus top (and a few other toplane tanks) kinda needs to be shut down early though. He snowballs into a toplane nightmare if he gets ganks and his enemy doesn't.

general rule of them is you dont gank for losing lanes because of 2 reasons it only brings you back to even if you mess up there you screw up the lane ever more and put yourself behind.

so just gank for winning or even lanes where you can snowball your advantage or create a new one

thats what i did from silver to plat

But killing the top laner is really valuable and can often lead to First Blood Turret, whether they're a tank or not. Sure, tanks die slower, but top lane is long and if you or the laner have CC, a gank isn't that hard to pull off. Obviously Jungling is super opportunistic in nature, and some games a lane may never be in a good position to gank, but I don't think you should rule out a tank lane as a potential gank spot just because it can take a few extra seconds to execute.
