Now That Ornns Masterworks are unlocked at 13, could we get a Lethality Item?

Prob not Duskblade, that'd be aids. But maybe Youmuus.

I say this because a main thing for Lethality items is the early powerspike they give assassins compared to other items, and the even scaling allowing them to continue to kill squishies as the game progresses.

However there are no REAL items for assassins in Ornns masterwork list, and if you do build one, its a semi off-meta item.

With the change to the Ornn passive, and they couldnt get an even STRONGER Lethality item early. Is it possible to get a Lethality item in the masterwork list? Hell if the passives are whats aids can we get a new lethality item specifically so we can make it an Ornn item?

The main thing I don't think you realize about Ornn's Masterworks is that they all give only bonus stats to the items. Now, this doesn't invalidate your point that AD assassins could use some kind of Masterwork item for late game, however it does change the reasoning a little bit. You said "and they couldn't get an even STRONGER Lethality item early." That's really not the purpose of the masterwork items. In fact, that's the sole reason WHY Riot made them require at least level 13 to buy in the first place. People were rushing them out too early and delaying the rest of their builds, getting more passives that are more useful in the long run.

Let's take Infinity Edge as an example. It gives +70 AD, and its Masterwork makes it give +100 AD instead. That's a difference of 30 AD, for 1,000 Gold. 3 Long Swords (30 AD) would ordinarily cost 1,050 Gold. Therefore, the Masterwork is just barely gold efficient. It's more valuable, however, to work on something that gives a passive early on into the game, rather than getting more raw stats. They made the change not as a nerf, but rather, as a buff for the purpose of forcing players to buy their early passives rather than getting more raw stats, hit their power spikes at the right times, and buy the Masterworks later in the game, as they were meant to be.

For this reason, I can't see why Riot didn't make a Lethality Masterwork in the first place. Even as an assassin, what's more valuable: getting Duskblade and Youmuu's, or getting Masterwork Youmuu's (let's say +30 AD above normal Youmuu's for 1,000 Gold, similarly to the Masterwork IE)? You delay the Duskblade, which is probably your biggest damage spike as an AD assassin, by a full Youmuu's +1000 Gold if you decide to rush the Youmuu's Masterwork if there were one. And for what? 30 AD. Compare that to the Duskblade passive, and it's really completely useless to rush the Masterwork. All the created Masterwork items follow the same story, making them completely useless to buy in the early game, and I would argue useless to buy before you're full build. They don't modify passives/actives of any of the items at all, just the stats.

Going back to real Masterworks, what's better, item 3371 or item 1038 item 3087? It would be the latter option 100% of the time, because more attack speed, movement speed, crit chance, and especially the passive are significantly better than more AD and a passive that requires having crit chance beyond the 20% that the item gives to be useful.

I personally know early masterwork items is pretty bad. However Riot has stated in internal testing Masterwork Lethality was pretty problematic. SO i assume they might have built them SOMEWHAT early 2 or 3rd item. As well as the fact that with how snowbally Assassins are upgrading a Lethality item for say 20AD for 1000g early on as a 2nd or maybe 3rd purchase would probably be pretty good instead of 5th or 6th.

I know masterwork is bad. However i still think that with this change Assassins should get a masterwork item dedicated to them as every other class has one.
