Not really a janna tip but the adc is not always the "carry" of your team. Sometimes is far better to abandon them when it comes to teamfights and focus your efforts in helping the yi jungle or jax top etc

They got rid of the coin sup item. Coin Janna was my ranked main. Can't play her now without Coin going back to ADC [zombie-nunu-bummed]

Don't unless you want some clinical depression.

Yea... you might want to rethink the support part.

I almost forgot. Another funny use of your ult is to throw Jarvan out of his own ult. All you need to do is press R when he's near you and its a very easy trick to pull off.

Also you can use W to kite or help your team kite champions like Tryndamere and Signed. Janna is very effective vs both of them

Yes.

I'm a Janna main that did a smurf challenge playing Janna in 90% of my games from Iron to plat 4 with 70% WR (90%+ up until gold 4) without duo whatsoever.

My advice is simply, not play support in this meta. You are in for some big dissapointment.

However here are some tips i can offer you.

You need to know when and how to use your Q.

---- Lesson 1: Q is a multitool. -----

If you are against a tank support like leona in lane, prefer to use your Q defensively than offensively. That means that when you use your Q to just get a random stun and 80 damage you live yourself and your ADC open to an all-in.

Spawn your Q somewhere behind your adc / team and use your cursor as you spawn it to mentally mark the direction it will land so you know when you Q again to release it.

You have the benefit to Q to save your adc from stuns because for example Q interrupts Leona's E and tosses her up and even blitz if he manage to hook you. At expert use of Q you can even prevent blitz from stunning you after he hooks you if you time your Q so well that he gets knocked up by the time you're pulled at him.

I pulled that trick off a few times but with the new blitz rework i haven't tried that yet.

Offensively or defensively you can use your Q, again mark mentally the direction it will travel and you can safely go all-in because you can also proc it to either 1. Save yourself, 2. Be close to your target for a Q, W slow combo because you already have the Q charging and you know when it will hit.

You need to learn how fast your Q travels and how far at all stages of it's charging. Practice it.

---- Lesson 2: Buff your E with enchanter items and AP, buy ap and the enchanter item line --- (i have no idea how the line works in this current season though)

A strong shield can help you and your adc survive longer. You can survive all ins and afford more healing when you pop your R.

Use the shield on yourself as well. It helps you position and survive.

--- Lesson 3 Be wise how you use your W --

Because you lose the benefits it provides when you use it. No tricks here. It's a slow. Nothing fancy here... but for best effect throw it after Q knockup ends for maximized CC

--- Lesson 4 Your ultimate has game changing healing rates and can be used as disengage or both ---

Learning how to position yourself to use your ult is VERY important. The heal and disengage it provides can be a make or break for your team. Never use your R to just disengage unless it's important. For example if the enemy team is catching up your team and you're going to lose the fight and get wiped.

You want to throw enemies back with your ult sufficiently enough to survive the healing once you start become stationary while healing AND also keep your team inside it to benefit from the healing you do.

Use the terrain to achieve that if you can. tossing an enemy into a wall with your ult for example.

You can even use your R to throw enemies back into your team, especially when you flash behind them.

I find that usually you need to use your ult near the edge it will create so you dont overdo the knockback and still keep your team into the healing while you're further into a safter distance from the enemy.

--- Lesson 6 Buy all the movespeed items and keystones you can afford --- Seriously movespeed is your friend. It helps you chase, evade and position. That's one of your main strengths. Buy every single item that gives a speed boost and of course the slightly magical boots

These are some tricks i use. Wish i was over in EUW so i could play some games with you if you wanted.

Good luck, always happy to speak with Janna mains or potential ones
