Riot, I would like a discussion on making Yasuo's Flow bar an actual resource.

Dear Riot,

I want to mention first that I absolutely detest Yasuo as he is currently. I want to be upfront about this opinion because I am not content with how flippant his success is, how an interesting character design is given such an unhealthy design for the game and how I seriously believe this champion has a lot of potential compared to what he is now. He's gone through buffs and nerfs, but is still considerably frustrating to play against or rely on. For a while, he has banned due to people not wanting to play against him due to how unfun he can be to play against and also banned because he can be a total coinflip liability. I believe at the core of what Yasuo's problems are in terms of being unstable and unhealthy is that he is resourceless.

When I saw Yasuo's initial designs and spotlight, I was under the impression that the Flow bar was going to be a resource similar to energy, but he'd have to be constantly moving and acting in order to generate it. Even with how powerful some aspects of his kit seemed, I felt okay about it given hist being resource-based could mean that the player would need to be smart about spamming his Q, weaving around with his E or investing in a well-timed Windwall. On top of that, his passive shield would make the user think about wanting to go in or finding a better opportunity to strike; if he fired off a Q or Windwall too soon, his shield would dissipate due to lack of Flow. His Flow bar being a resource seemed fair and intriguing given all reward should be a result of investment - all of which Yasuo is not.

He is released and it turns out Flow is not a resource; it's a perk with no counterplay. His shield is free, his Q's are free with lowcooldowns and 100% AD scaling, his E has lowcooldowns and can be used endlessly and Windwall's only decisive mechanic is its long cooldown...but it still lacks any true investment. His Q transforming in a free ranged harass is also a bit baffling, especially when you factor into how it procs his Ult. Speaking of which, the fact that his ult has a low cooldown, decent damage, can be proc'd off of ANY displacer and prolongs a stun for 2 more seconds is ridiculous...that doesn't even factor in how frustrating it is that it shreds armor.

Riot, all I want to know is why Yasuo's design is okay. Why can't Flow be a unique, definitive resource that makes the player think and result in better, healthier interactions? I know it would be a large undertaking to rework and rebalance Yasuo into having a resource, but I think it would make him a healthier champion for the game.

I hope this concept can apply some great discussion. Please keep it civil everyone; it is understood that Yasuo has been one of the most beloved and frustrating champions in the game.

Cool idea, it could amplify his abilities damage or something. Or give him a MS buff, not sure, quite a lot you could do with it.

His crit passive needs to go though. It's stabbing him in the back at the moment.

If you're going to downvote me, at least reply as to why. I strongly do not believe Yasuo is in a good place, but I want to here why people think he is in a good spot as well.

I'm not worried about finding a counter; I want to improve the state of a champion.
