"talon is only op because of lethality"
Meanwhile talon can 100-0 you starting lvl 2 with a long sword.

I still don't understand this logic. Are you saying assassins shouldn't deal damage? You won't be happy till you get assassinated by full tank nautilus?
Both Riot's and the communities logic is so damn weird. It feels like no one even knows what class does what anymore. Skirmishers and Melee carries are 1 sidedly stomping teams, Divers and bruiser type champions are diving and insta killing squishies like the assassins of days long passed, assassins who were supposed to be the champions with the highest kill pressure in the game are getting buillied and dumpstered by just about every thing then called broken when they actually manage to kill something for once, Mages are doing what they damn well please, ADC's are now doing things early and bursting late, and supports that aren't tanks are now frequently out damaging their mid laners.
just a rant thread, prob just got fk'd 2 minutes ago by a
and wants to vent useless statements.
Honestly while I do agree with this to an extent, giving an assassin a free crit is a bit over the line, not that I'm saying talon is op by any means, as a leblanc main I literally cant complain about a lv 2 100-0 because I do it all the time with her, however his kit may be a bit overtuned with the incorporation of free crit/lethality
It's not a free crit though. He has to be in melee range. And he has no other gapcloser except his situational E and wasting the chance to hit with first strike of R and potentially missing R altogether. And you really shouldn't be letting him get in melee range otherwise.
It is quite free, there are multiple champions in mid, that need to be melee range; Diana, zed, yasuo, leblanc somewhat and kat. No champion should have over 2 cap closers, honestly, it just isn't healthy.

It's only a 150% crit, meaning 50% less damage than a normal crit, and it only affects his Q's damage not his auto attacks.
His Q has a whopping base damage of 160 with a 110% bonus AD scaling. I'd hop to god that he had something extra or else that ability would be useless.
y r u letting him get his melee Q off on you
wow. welcome to the assassin rework. your a little late. did you know there havent been any changes to talon since patch 7.1, which did this>
Stats Mana regeneration growth increased to 0.75 from 0.5. Blade's End Slightly bumped up brightness of passive particles. Noxian Diplomacy Heal increased to 20 - 71 (based on level) from 17 - 51 (based on level).
literally not changing a single thing in his damage at all? he has been doing the same amount of damage at level 2 for a while. if he is op now (which i dont think he is) he has been op since the assassin update

I think champs that use lethality are doing more damage early just with the buffed lethality runes. I cant vouch for Talon being busted at level 2 though, as I rarely play midlane.
He has a strong level 2 cheese potential if he procs passive, but it doesn't work on a full health target unless the target is fucking stupid or AFK. So he usually has to poke them down to around 60-80% health for it to work first. It requires him hitting Q and both waves of W and also proccing his passive on top of that.
Not unless you're actually retarded and just AFK in front of his face.
Talon is strong because of Duskblade. If they tack on an internal CD (Like Triforce) to Duskblade they would gut him and most others that use this item.
Talons early game is insane
as the game went one he got noticeably weaker
sort of like
... Oh
