"Kiting Mage" style gameplay?

Supposedly Meddler wants Ahri to be a kiting mage "again". What does that even look like? Are there any old videos or games I could watch? Any pros that played Ahri in that style, etc? When did people do this?

Wasn't there a time a long time ago that Ahri build a high survivability with Wota and Rylai's? And I do mean a long time ago.

Edit: Wait a minute. The nerfed that play style and gave her more incentive to buy high AP items and become a bursty champion. I will find the patch.

I found the patch where they nerfed Ahri for building too tanky. It was the Draven patch.

Build Lich and Rylai on new vik it's pretty funny slow them with Q proc the damagex2 and speed off, rinse and repeat
