How I would balance the Elder Dragon execute.

I would make all champions that have the Elder Dragon buff have a special ability bound to T button. It is a special skillshot ability similar to Urgot’s ultimate but faster, but it has a 5 second cooldown. You need to be able to land the execute on a target to kill them or it goes on cooldown. If you manage to execute someone with the special ability, the cooldown is fully reset.

How about we just don't have a fucking execute on it?

If they have to go through with it, why not just make it like the rift Herald buff? Elder drops an item, team let's an ally get it and they have an execute. They could also make it so it's a one time use.

Then we go back to a million and one games of protect the Vayne or some other ADC with an execute.

so you would rather have a team wide buff that provides an execute? instead of just having one champion having it?

Personally I'd rather not have it at all. If we have to have it though, I'd rather not have the protect the AD comps return.

Sure lets replace a shitton of stats we get from elder now with a skillshot execute. I wonder if it will have to be quite strong to compensate for its unreliability. The unconditional unmissable execute they plan to add can be really weak, like 5% hp execute, it will still be worth to risk taking elder for. Skillshot with cd will have to be 10-15% hp strong to be at that level. With this people will die even faster. Also lets put it on separate button. People play 10+ games without even seeing an elder dragon, but they need to dedicate a whole new button for it. And its not just a "fire once and forget" button like B for recall, its a spammable(5 sec cd) button that is used during teamfights. Am i the only one who thinks its a bad idea? Also, we don't even have numbers, what are you going to balance? Execute at 90% hp is too strong, execute at 0.1% hp is too weak, somewhere in between is the "balanced" value. If what Riot bring to us ends up too strong, it can be nerfed in value. Or the dot itself can be nerfed.
